An online university is not scary. There are load of religious universities that teach all kinds of bogus crap. It's up to the school districts to ensure that people get hired with the proper credentials.

Honestly, I'm delighted. I am ALL FOR having a class that examines (creationism) 'intelligent design' in a skeptical, scientific approach that compares it with evolutionary theories. Bitch deserves that kind of smackdown, and make no mistake, there will be one.

California isn't entirely 'anything goes' in this department. It recently defended the UC system's new(ish) college prerequisite list that had a major impact on how much religion private schools could teach. A rare victory it seems these days.
