I do the dead pigeon thing all of the time, Dan. You should try it. The blood doubles as lube, too.

Seriously, there are a lot of pigeons here, and they shit on everything. We need more priests doing this.

Does anyone know if my ministerial credentials with the Universal Life Church qualify me to ritualistically sacrifice pigeons? Apparently there's a market for it out there and I want in!

Hmmm...I sense serious slant going on here, at least concerning the pigeons (being charged with sexual assault doesn't need slant to be obviously wrong). Seems like something has been taken out of context. Oh, the media's at it again.

Every pigeon contains the actual body of Christ, Dan. Don't be a hater.

I forgot to mention that the pigeon blood owns a hot funk. Those who share an affinity for pigeon sacrifice and pigeon blood should click this.

Wait, what was I saying?

I think the great thing about these is that they all could be turned around to be "They will know we are NOT Christians..."

Honestly, when someone names their church Mount Zion Revival Church of the Apostles, it's unbelievable that anyone wouldn't see through that. You would have thought he'd work in there: Pentecost, New Blessing, Holy Spirit or Anointed.

The truth is too often Christians are looking to see the same miracles in their church that Jesus did or that happens in other parts of the world. Unfortunately, they think we must somehow be doing things wrong, so lets find a holier church that does the blood sacrifice rituals they discovered by reading the new testament in Greek. It's not surprising people were hoodwinked by this guy.

Umm... I have to agree with #4--there is some serious misinterpretation here. The paragraph implies animal sacrifice, not animal sacrifice plus sex.

And to get all social sciencey, as I am wont to get, animal sacrifice was, is, and will be an important part of religious practices all over the world, including the United States. Santeria doesn't just happen in Miami, folks! If this is okay for Santeros (Hileah v. Church of Babaluaye), why isn't it okay for Christians who creatively interpret their calling? I'm willing to bet the animals are treated better in these ceremonies than they are in commercial meat production.

Taking the animal sacrifice as a separate issue from the rape, of course. I'm with 4, forced sex is not okay.

I totally would have gone to church more if there was ritual sacrifice involved.

Blood of pigeons, blood of the Lamb, body of Christ, there's a pattern here somewhere..., oh yeah, ritual sacrifice is practiced in church every time a mass is said or communion performed. So what's the point?

Aw, leave the pigeons alone. They cause a lot less damage than we do.

Ðara fugla freodome! (to the freedom of the birds)

Perhaps this sacrifice thing is what Tom Lehrer was really singing about.
