A deacon is not a priest. They assist with Mass and can baptize and such, but can be married as Dan Stallings was. If you read the whole story you will see that this is NOT a church matter but a very sad family matter,that people are trying to link to the church. What he did was wrong and he should be punished,but all of this happened before he became a deacon and at his own home.
