Hmm sales were down. Interesting, could be that the Christmas Sales were really really lame this year.

Well, sure, two terms as First Lady counts for something. So does two terms as Senator from New York. She's still infinitely preferable over a Mormon named Willard who totally fucked up Massachusetts, a Bible-thumping kook from Arkansas, or a dingbat whose only qualification is being Mayor of New York (where they pretty much hate him).

The Huckster's "not campaigning" in Iowa today, instead he's hunting pheasants.

Meaning: I'm the real gun lover in this contest. That Romney guy is a fake hunter, he lied about his hunting love, like he lied about being a real conservative.

"I am Christian" + "Merry Christmas" + "I am hunter" = non-attack attacks.

Brilliant.

@2,

I don't know about that. I've been seeing "Price Reduced" signs all over the place.

@ 6, I'm just going by what the story said. But I'll speculate that some of these "reduced" prices are still higher than what they might have asked a year ago.

Sales aren't down; they're up. They're just up by a lesser amount than they have been in the past few years.

The annual parade of "outlook bleak", "outlook good", "sales up", "sales down", "sales off forecasts" stories is a total joke, as predictable as Bill O'Reilly's "War on Christmas" baloney slices. Every year it's the same thing; the retail stories start before Halloween, but they mean nothing. Sales are ALWAYS up, and they're ALWAYS up by less than the retailers want. It's as newsworthy as the sunrise and sunset.
