I mean, The Slog really needs to run Scoop so you can read the conversations in a logical way. And get email when somebody replies to you. And collapse and expand threads. And so on.

It's not a 100% solution but it does a lot more than "nothing." But Slog isn't subject to that much annoying trolling, this incident notwithstanding, so unless it becomes a real problem I'm happy with things staying the way they are.

But people who are willing to post combative things while under one consistant name (Issur and Ecce, much as they annoy me otherwise) are worthy of more consideration that someone who "bobs and weaves" under whatever name they feel like at that minute.

Another reason: it's *infuriating* when somebody appropriates your name around here after you've spent months or years trying to write a string of coherent sentences.
