2008 Colby Underwood No Longer with Burner Campaign
posted by December 26 at 15:30 PM
onLocal fundraising consultant Colby Underwood got a lot of glowing press this year.
He was hyped, for example, by Crosscut’s Casey Corr as “The Most Important Person in Seattle Politics.”
Well, “The Most Important Person in Seattle Politics,” who was the fundraising consultant for one of the most high-profile pending races in local politics—Darcy Burner’s 2008 Democratic challenge to Rep. Dave Reichert (R-8, Mercer Island)—has left that campaign just in time for, well, 2008.
I think that’s weird. However, Burner’s campaign tells me the plan all along was to get an in-house fundraising team in place for ‘08, and “that didn’t make sense for Colby.”
Additionally, McKenna Hartman, director of development for Underwood, reportedly left Underwood’s firm.

another brilliant move by Burner - maybe you should encourage a race on the Dem side - the anointed rarely perform well.
Gee, Josh, in the context of anyone writing about the Darcy Burner campaign, aren't you the class leader in hype?
And can you go any deeper in your analysis than, "I think that's weird." Well, maybe, that already is a stretch, short guy.
@2,
Feit is reporting some interesting news. Why so freaked out about it?
@2, cut Josh some slack. He's now bald.
Wasn't Colby Underwood that Spokane rentboi that was blackmailing the state rep?
Just another big misstep by Burner. Next she will claim it was planned all along...
What other big missteps has Burner made?
Hartman "left"? That's not how it's going around town. Or, did you mean "left" like when you say to somebody on the phone that you'd rather not continue talking to, "I'll let you go now." ??? I think "let go" might have been more accurate.
Always speculation about what must be going on from the most usless of you out there. Get your own job.
#8, you should be ashamed of yourself.
