Clinton’s New Ad

posted by on December 14 at 10:10 AM

It’s running in Iowa and New Hampshire, and it looks like it was filmed last weekend when Clinton, her mother, and her daughter all visited Iowa on the same day as the Oprah-Obama event that I attended for this feature.

In fact, it looks like the commercial was filmed, in part, at that firehouse that I tried so mightily (and failed so spectacularly) to get to during a very cold blast of freezing rain.

I'm confused, is Chelsea running? I didn't think she was old enough.

Wow, that's a crappy ad. That little fake-handwritten "Hillary's mom lives with her" note? What's the point of that?

I like it. Before this ad, I don't think I ever considered the possibility that Hillary had a mother.

I liked it, the whole matriarchal line/"we are sisters/mothers/daughters" thing gives me goosebumps (even if it's bullshit).

I love Chelsea! She is a smart, beautiful and poised young lady.

ECB asked about the woman thing and whether it should it matter. For me, the answer is yes, it matters. It's not the only thing that matters, but it does matter.

Senator Clinton is clearly aiming at the women swing voters. In a country where the last few Presidential elections have had such tight margins it sure makes sense for Clinton to capitalize on the fact that a lot of Republican women and female Reagan Democrats will come over to vote for President Hillary Rodham-Clinton
