This is not surprising, as Sen. Clinton along with Sen. Feinstein helped Sen. Cantwell campaign to reclaim her seat in 2006.

Another reason not to vote for HC.

M @2, agreed.

It's remarkable to me that Cantwell should want to highlight energy policy when she has so little credibility on energy policy. This is the same senator who can't resist pandering about alleged oil company price gouging every chance she gets.

and one more dynastic courtier falls in line.

What's wrong with investigating oil companies?

And Jay Inslee, very credible on energy (with his whole Apollo program and all), endorses HRC, too.

While I like Maria and think she's great, I'm still going with Obama.

It's a Presidential thing. Gut feel. If you go by the online quizzes, I should be going for Richardson, but that's where I am, and I suspect many other people.

her endorsement means squat.

So.

NOW endorsements are squat, even if you have 10 senators' and 77 representatives', as HRC has.

Uh-huh.

Someone please send the memo to Oprah.

It makes no difference.
The end result will be the same goo that has spawned our glorious current state of affairs.
Profits are guaranteed to the real leaders, no matter who wins.
That's why we can play at voting.
It will make no difference.

Well, since our beloved Maria voted against her constituency and FOR the Iraq war, over and over, and voted FOR the PATRIOT Act, and its renewal and expansion, it is no big shock that she slops over for the failing Hillary bandwagon-with-square-wheels. The spectre of Bloomberg (a.k.a. Billionaire Nader) is looming.

@10...."it will make no difference".. I'm sorry to say I probably agree. I don't know what difference any of it will make. I think Kucinich is the only one even close to being really different from the goo....BUT I'm still liking Edwards more and more. He's ahead in the poll that came out yesterday.

This really fucks Cantwell up when she seeks President Obama's endorsement in a few years.

No doubt Cantwell's endorsement will sway legions of Iowa caucus-goers to vote for Hillary. New Hampshire too.

@8 Max,

You've got "nonplussed" backwards here and in a slog comment you made elsewhere. It means "completely surprising, utter perplexity", not what it appears to mean on the surface.
