Baby, It’s Bad Out There

posted by on December 3 at 15:03 PM

No cabs to be had out there…

Washington Gov. Christine Gregoire declared a state of emergency today and mobilized the National Guard as heavy rain, high winds and massive flooding cut off coastal communities, killed at least two people, closed roads and schools, and flooded homes and businesses all over Western Washington.

It's a good night to get loaded and watch "A Charlie Brown Christmas". 8pm, channel 4.

Can't we cut some sort of deal with Georgia?

Huh. I didn't realize there was any National Guard left. I figured they were all fighting them over there so we wouldn't have to fight them over here.

Yeah, let's all be sure to thank Tim Fucking Eyman and the dipshits in the east county for their anti-tax push. Too bad we don't have enough money to pump the sediment out of our storm drains and re-dredge our ditches.

Maybe we should lock Tim in a basement in Madison Valley for a few days, just for a goof.

@3: Makes me wonder what we have left.

I too am amazed we actually have any National Guard that can be mobilized.

I thought they were all dying in Iraq for Rove's Lies.

@8: I don't know, but we should plan like he is, just in case. I've got duct tape and lube. What about you?

Maybe Andy can help pump out my friend's basement and garage - she's short handed.

Snow followed up by the Pineapple Express. I'm still soaked.

I'm watching KING 5 for the comic relief. Man! It is fucking wet out.

It must have sent Jim Foreman into a tailspin, because I haven't seen him freaking out onscreen yet. It's like Christmas for that dude today.

Andy can pump out my basement anytime...

Probably should have thought more about that before I typed.

@12: Has anyone ever figured out why if it's the most crapulent gig possible Jim Foreman is the one they send? Last night one of the locals had someone standing hatless, hair plastered down, glasses dripping in the deluge as he told us it was, indeed, raining. Huh?

@ 16: I don't even want to imagine what a teenage boy did with duct tape and lube!!! GAH!!!
