I've heard of all the people doing covers except for "Say Hi." What is Say Hi?

And what are the details on the "Awesome" original song? Is it going to have anything to do with the winner, or will they just record one of their songs and say "hey, we recorded this for you!"

I propose the Velvet Underground's "Sister Ray," or Allman Brothers' "Mountain Jam." You'll get the most bang for your buck!

Dear Levislade:

1. Listen to Say Hi here.

2. From Basil Harris, bass player for "Awesome":

"Awesome" will write a song based on the winner's topic of choice. It can be about the winner or about the winner's girlfriend or favorite barista or whatever. We're pretty flexible. We just ask that the winner please not demand something douchey like, say, "here's a copy of my memoirs. Now make a song out of it, monkeys!"

It'll be a custom-made song and we're happy to work out reasonable details with the winner, but please don't ask us to churn out a nine-minute prog anthem like last year.

And really, just fucking bid on the song. Your money's going to FareStart, you cheapskates!

Dear Nick:

If you want to take your sadism out for a walk, may I suggest this package instead?

Thanks. I have heard of Say Hi to Your Mom, and in fact wondered if that's who you were talking about. Their name/names is/are confusing me!

And yes, I am a cheapskate.
