All We Are Saying…

posted by on December 6 at 14:01 PM

Via Glenn Greenwald at Salon comes word of an exciting event being held at the University of Massachusetts:

Join the UMass Republican Club for yet another lively and edifying political discussion on the costs, necessities, consequences, and benefits of war. A question and answer session will be administered after the initial lecture.

The title of the event: “All I Am Saying Is Give War a Chance.” Noted veteran* and editor-at-large of the National Review Jonah Goldberg is the keynote speaker.

(*Goldberg is not really a veteran—unless you count the Culture Wars.)

Jonah is pretty much just a petty little douche bag with no talent at writing. i was pissed when the times picked up his column for syndication, at least Kauthhammer writes well and puts forward reasoned arguements that take more than 2 seconds to pick apart, Goldberg is just annoying

Ah, my alma mater. I wonder whatever happened to the batshit crazy kid that used to head the Young Republicans back when I was there in the 80s. He got a lot of mileage out of the AIDS epidemic.

It must drive people like that extra insane to be so alone -- like GOP candidates in WA State I guess.

Those Republican wordsmiths are so crafty.

So when Democrats compare Iraq to Vietnam, that's a crass distortion, but when Republicans do it, it's really clever?
