onAn Assembly of God youth pastor in Gans faces a felony charge in Sequoyah County District Court after investigators reported he made sexual remarks to a 14-year-old girl in his congregation, according to court documents.Spencer Tally, 21, was charged Oct. 30 with making lewd or indecent proposals to a child younger than 16.
In a sworn affidavit requesting Tally’s arrest on probable cause, Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Deputy Cindy Smith describes incidents that apparently began when the girl attended a church luncheon and told Tally about unwelcome remarks made while she was on the phone with her boyfriend.
Tally told her no one had the right to ask her to perform such acts, the girl said. However, she also said Tally made several unwanted remarks to her in June phone calls, including asking her to perform oral sex for his birthday.

It may to time to stop posting these in Slog. Indeed there are enough of these for a regular column. Hell, maybe even a whole new publication.
It would be nice to have a quick way to get them all in one place, for review and statistical analysis.
Why am I so amused that Talley wanted oral sex for his birthday?
This was somewhat refreshing. Charged for words only? Maybe we're learning, slowly?
What, no raping? Pretty weak entry. But keep up on the Assembly of God stuff. There's no child abuse like charismatic evangelical child abuse!
I'm just trying to imagine the guy's mindset. Here he is, entrusted with the whole "teach the youngsters about Jesus" stuff, and he looks at a barely-pubescent Lolita and actually says to her, "Hey, it's my birthday, how about a knob job?" or the equivalent.
The mind boggles.
Once again I advocate for Judy-ism. Everyone that practises Judy-ism is free from such behavior. Remember you don't have to be a Judy, but your mother does!
Somebody with an intern should get to work tabulating all the pastor-rape incidents, then make a nice little graph organized by denomination, plus another one by state.
Sorry Dan,
Do your homework. this is Oklahoma not AR.
