What was the scalper situation last night? Wouldn't that be a better ticket-buying option -- good seats below face value?

taking the fight out of the fans with a deliberate losing streak?

nah, PJ sucks, but they actually suck, too.

I don't think the booth staffing issue is the owner's call. Sales and marketing decides how that's going to be staffed, and Clay's way too high up the chain to be concerned with that.

Clay could be involved in this. All it takes is a phone call/memos demanding to cut costs in all areas.

Given the public and private hostility between the Sonic's management...it is not too crazy of a conspiracy theory.

Seeing David Stern induct Clay Bennett into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame is all the proof I need.

Concessions inside of the stadium have also taken a mighty turn for the worse. They're understaffed so you end up missing half a quarter just to grab a beer. Don't even get me started on PJ's substitutions!

i've watched the 7 sonics games from sf, (certainly we understand pj times down here)
and the sonics are very entertaining. they simply don't have the veteran savvy to win games down the stretch yet. they have lost almost all their games in the last 8 minutes through inexperience.
david stern does seem to be in on the fix, but i hope seattle keeps the sonics using whatever means necessary. warriors and sonics...0--12!

"It's time to stop the madness. From Slick Watts to Shawn Kemp, from the Xavier McDaniel scene in Singles to Tom Chambers' mullet, from Shawn Kemp to Bird, the SuperSonics -- and the Storm -- are Seattle. To the people of the Emerald City, it's time to go on offense. Until now, you have threatened lawsuits to keep the team an extra couple years. But that will just delay Bennett's agenda. It's time to get serious. It's time to talk municipalization. Municipalization means turning the Sonics into a public utility; call it a kind word for expropriation. Basketball fans should press the state of Washington to sue for the right to buy the team back from Clay and his cronies. They should claim that the SuperSonics and Storm are the intellectual property -- the eminent domain -- of the people of Seattle, and therefore the city has far more of a claim on the team than the Bennetts of Oklahoma."

I love Major League. I've forgotten the plot of course--but thanks for the reminder Sam. Let's try this for once-- lets not give the crazy rich owner the benefit of the doubt for once. Let's in fact, let him know that he is in for a real, costly, pain in the ass fight over this franchise. Lets cover the city council when they stick their neck out for us. Ditto the Gov. And when he comes knowing for $400 dollars-- lets piss in his face. Because, the reality is that the real money in owning a professional sports franchise is in the equity. That is: Clay could leave the team at the Key, sit back for ten years, and collect 10% a year on his money when he sells.

So he should find some other team to rip from its 40 year history.

I showed up at game time. The line was at least 20 meters long. As for the scalper situation; I bought a 16 dollar seat for 25 dollars and my friends bought 10 dollar seats for 20 dollars.

This article hit it right on the head. Clay Bennett is trying to fuck up the attendance records in order to move to Okie-ville. It's still not going to happen though!!!

trading ray allen. richard lewis?

when you have those two players, it's not time to "rebuild" , it's time to fucking win.

now how long do you suppose it will take for our draft picks to develop? how long for the sonics to have a .500+ season and pack the key? it buys bennet enough time to convince stern that seattle is an insufficiant city for the nba.

this shit is rigged don't be stupid.
