Good riddance already. About the only thing I'll miss is the pang of recognition whenever I listen to Ice Cube's It Was a Good Day. And even then, the Lakers beat the SuperSonics.

Durant is a mad baller shot caller! he is the real deal hollyfield. He just needs to hit the weight room, cuz he is gonna get pushed around a bit, but 27 points for a rookie in his second game is a monster game!

I've eaten plates of pasta that were more intimidating than Durant's skinny little arms, but I am also exicted about his potential.

he reminds me of penny hardaway, but with a better capacity to dish it out when double teamed.

durant looked fucking good last night. he had some swagger and you could see glimpses of a bad ass. i think it was being at home, but you have to figure playing your first nba game against allen iverson and melo would make anyone a little shaky. that first half, when durant was driving to hole, was beautiful--once he goes up, he's already halfway to the basket. so smooth.

the sonics lost by playing terrible basketball that 4th quarter (exactly what they did at denver), but let's not forget that for three quarters they hung with the phoenix suns, who really should have blown them away. sonics done good. or at least better than expected.

i was heartened to see national tv coverage of the sonics. because of durant, people are really looking at the potential move and i hope it helps. also, did anyone see clay bennet and bill russell sitting in the box together? i would love to know what the hell they were talking about.

once he gets his shots dropping, no one will be able to keep ignoring the prowess of jeff green.

They should leave and take Kid Rock with them.

He’s just gonna burn it to keep warm in the winter while wondering what rhymes with “lawn furniture.”

This is why you're a writer and I'm but a puny commenter...

6 Mile? Kid Rock wishes he was that tough. He's from 32 Mile, or thereabouts.

"Coach took the ball out of his hands?" Um, I'd say the Phoenix D took the ball out of his hands.

This team has a ton of fresh talent but is woefully inexperienced. That means you can expect to see LOTS of games where they look great for three quarters but can't finish the deal. But that's ok. Based on the first two losing efforts, I'm calling this the most exciting Sonics team to watch than we've seen for several years. Durante and Green are going to be awesome, Wilcox and Wilkins are fun to watch. And Delonte West is way better than I thought he'd be. (I would trade Frodo immediately, if anybody else out there wants him.) This team will play fast and be interesting even when they lose. I'm bummed they're leaving soon.
