People are actually arguing against light rail in the I-90 corridor because it doesn't serve people in North Bend? NORTH BEND? When I was a kid, that was halfway to EasterfuckingWashington! Christ people, one thing at a time.

It's also weird that they're so concerned with "headway" (how far they have to stagger trains as to not overload the bridge). Hopefully, the fallacy of that concern will be alleviated when drivers notice the 6 or 7 huge buses they used to share the rush hour parking lot jams with have been replaced by trains rolling past them in 15 minute intervals.

Tell Will of HA I'll buy him a beer when he loses this one.

Dan, I know you can't come out and say, "I, Dan Savage, fill in title of The Stranger, endorse a yes on Prop. 1." But thanks for trying to do the next best thing.

Remember the monorail? Or any other lets increase taxes for mass transit initiatives that we’ve approved in the past? Come on people, do you really think we will get anything worthwhile out of prop 1?

My charming bride Inga just put her and my "Yes on Prop 1" ballots in a mailbox this morning on her way to work. Shadowy characters in a Flexcar were following her for a while after she left the house, but they seemed pretty drunk and it was easy for her to give them the slip and then head over to the post office. Mission accomplished! We're thinking of having hot sweaty pro-transit sex tonight to celebrate.

Thanks for screwing the enviro and killing the oceans worldwide, Big Sven.

No, you don't get a prize for doing that.

Thanks for denying Seattle $11b in mass transit, Will. A teeny little part of me wants Prop 1 to lose so we can all see the mental gymnastics you will go through when that "Feb 2008" transit bill doesn't materialize.
