Israeli Punk

Monotonix at Comet

Last time Monotonix played Seattle, they started a fire in the Comet, the drummer standing on his bass drum, his cymbals aflame. And I fucking missed it. Don't make my mistake: This three-piece will rip your face off—think guitar riffs like Death from Above 1979, but less pretty-boy attitude. Also, they party like Hamas is right around the corner, and we can all learn a little something about that. With Pleasureboaters, the Whore Moans, and Mattress. (Comet Tavern, 922 E Pike St, 323-9853. 9 pm, $8, 21+.)

Not as hard as I will party once Palestine is free from apartheid.

As a Jew I appreciate The Stranger's promotion of Jewish writers and musicians. Seattle is an anti-semitic town and anyone who doesn't like Israeli punk bands is clearly and anti-semite.

After all the Jewish people have been through, to be finally given back our own nation of Israel. And now the constant attacks by the vermin known as the Palestinians and America does nothing. These Israeli musicians are true divine sparks of light drifting into our city, everyone should go see them.

Christian punk bands are all sex perverts and idiots. Orthodox Jewish punk bands are the sound of truth and righteousness.
