Actually, my brother Dave's tribe used to celebrate and enjoy Thanksgiving.

Beware people bringing you blankets though, it might be a return gift ...

I think they're being witty and sarcastic. At least I hope they are. I mean, who sends Thanksgiving cards specifically? Most people send generic holiday cards or Christmas cards. They must be being ironic.

@& - Some of us homos do spend Thanksgiving with our families. Not that we all enjoy it, of course. All my family talks about this time of year are deer hunting and the Packers. I can't even begin to try to participate in the conversation, so I sit quietly in the corner.

I think I just talked myself out of the family gathering this year. Thank you #7.

They are just trying to sway you into not posting a story about the PC bull$hit they introduced into the schools that Thanksgiving should also be about Indians and their deep sadness during this "festive" holiday.

Just another example of a special interest group trying to change long standing traditions to prop up their "special standing"

@2 alot of the old cowboys WERE indians. when i was little cowboys and indians were the same side! also, this holiday has alot more history and baggage for east coast tribes; for western tribes alot of times we've seperated out the squanto thing from the holiday and just eat and get together. and @4 don't knock whale till you've tried it, hmmm muktuk, also the stillaguamish haven't whaled that was the makah.
