So Obama is for prescription use of pot, but isn't so warm on full legalization. Disappointing, but probably the best we can expect from any of the current group of presidential candidates.

more excellent work, mr. holden.
no surprise on the cell phones. it would make for less exciting wire episodes, though, if they did 'em all real-like and all the info was just handed out like party favors. now i will go drink alcohol, which i'm guessing is the drug of choice for jen graves.

Very cool. You're on the panel with Jack Cole. It's really encouraging to see law enforcement getting on board. His is a good argument against more of the same in the war on drugs. Jack Cole and Norm Stamper are very visible and powerful weapons in the war against the war on drugs. It's different in Seattle, I guess, but down here in Tennessee we have few law enforcement officials willing to speak out in this area. Some of them know the war is futile, that it's just around now kind of funding itself along - and sometimes funding a lot of other things besides - but it won't ever be "won." What does that mean, "winning" the war on drugs?

I'll be blogging from the conference in New Orleans. Here are some preliminary stories from my blog (Slog readers with T- T- Too much time on their hands this morning could waste quite a lot of valuable time on my Website, and are expressly invited to do so):
