Try Coopers on Lake City Way. They seem to have an extensive amount of football.

Honestly, Jillian's, Sluggers, Spitfire, the RAM, all should carry it. Basically any bar that plays sports.

Sport at Fisher Plaza might work.

You might check with Rocksport in West Seattle or Spitfire in Belltown.

I got emails from NFL Network all summer warning me to call my cable company and complain about having to pay extra for it. I pretty much ignored them since I have a Dish.

Fuck you, football fans. Try finding a bar that will show a MotoGP race. That's the one thing that makes me want to see Rossi become governor; we'd see motorcycle racing if The Doctor ran this state.

Club Z on Pike Street has that channel in their deluxe rooms. As long as you don't mid reclining in the sling while "watching".

You can come watch it at my place. I have a rack of pabst and a plasma. Oooooh yeah.

If you're scared of my habit of wearing nothing but a bath robe and a cowboy hat, I'd suggest Spitfire. (They also play Euro league soccer games every day of the week, which is by far the best thing to happen in a bar since that one time I got a free lapdance from 2 grandmas at the old Earls.)

village pub in magnolia. plenty of tvs on the walls, and some of the booths have little 15 inch lcds on swing arms.

service is ok, not great, but i only use them for their tvs anyway.

#9 Enchelos, not that it does you any good from down here, but the bar next to my place shows ONLY MotoGP racing. When there's isn't any on, the owner is running tapes of his favorite races on the big screen. The bar has a sort of cafe-racer them, but not in a kitsch way, that's just the clientèle.

I suggest The Mustard Seed in Newport Hills on the Eastside. It's the official "Packer Backer" bar. It's a sea of yellow and green in there.

Spitfire.

Good football crowd, good staff, not dominated by any kind of clique of football fan - good mix of people.

Triangle Tavern or Ballroom in Fremont should have it on widescreen HDTV.

You don't really need to watch it since the Cowboys are destined to win (and I doubt it is going to be as close as some think), but The Spectator is always a good place to cheer them on to victory.. As others have said, Spitfire is awesome too, but a little pricey.

Go to the Pacific Inn on 35th and Stone Way. You can enjoy the world famous fish and chips while watching the Cowboys win. (I hate the Cowboys, but not as much as I despise the Green Bay Packers.)

any place that gets DirectTV satellite. most of the sports bars in town already have the NFL Sunday Ticket from DirectTV so they can show all the games, and NFL Network is included in the basic DirectTV package.

This whole 'I don't have NFL Network on cable' thing is actually an issue nationwide. Few major cable carriers carry the NFL Network, as the NFL is trying to strongarm cable carriers into carrying their new network at an inflated rate, and the carriers are saying no since it's obviously a fringe network and not worth the cost.

The biggest brou-ha-ha is yet to come. The NFL Network's week 17 game features the Patriots, who may be gunning for the first 16-0 regular season ever that week, playing the Giants. You think things are heated NOW....

I'm not convinced that the Pack's D is as strong as it needs to be, but I hate, hate , hate the Cowboys and I want Favre to go out on top and retire.

gomez the game to watch will be when the o and 16 dolphins defeat the undefeated patriots on the night before thanksgiving. wouldnt that be something? their only win comes in an effort to stop the hated New Englanders( sorry Lloyd) from breaking their record, and wipe the smirk from tom brady's face.

this week my eagles play my seahawks so i will be neutral and borracho.

You can come over to my house since I have the full Comcast Sports package. For just $5/month I get more two-week old reruns of college baseball and hockey than you could ever imagine... oh, and the NFL Network.

Unfortunately, my 3-year-old gets home from daycare about 5, so you'll have to negotiate with her over whether you get to watch the Boys play the Pack or the new episode of Yo Gabba Gabba.

Oh, and I have a horrible cold that I'll pass to you. But then you can just lick Dan's doorknob and the karmic circle will be complete.

DW, thanks for the invite. However, I wouldn't want to incur the wrath of your 3-year-old, so I'll have to take a pass this time around. Also, there's too much doorknob lickery around this office as it is.

32. Man, did the Eagles come close this past Sunday. They were pulling out all the stops, and they would've done it if it wasn't for that meddling Asante Samuel (AJ Feeley making bad throws late in the game didn't help, but still).

For the moto GP commenter
that place in Georgetown that has the so-so frito pie has bike races. . . can't remeber the name of it now. . .it might be smarty pants?

Rossi for governator! I'd vote for The Doctor any day (Norm's in Fremont used to show the races too).

Is the NFL network even in HD?

@26 - it's Fremont - there's like five bars that probably have it - Red Door, Triangle, Ballroom, George and Dragon (unless there's a footy match on), or even Norm's. Just go to one, ask, and if they are on a different game, the next one's like 20 feet away.

NFL.com...the chair is more comfortable than a barstool, the ambient noise is less noisy, and the drinks are a *HELL* of a lot cheaper!!

Ok. So i just got home from the village pub in magnolia.

i sat next to a guy a the bar who talked to me from halfway through the second quarter all the way through the end of the game.

check this shit out.

he's 41. lost his painting business because he cheated the IRS. used to do a lot of coke. looks like sly stallone if sly stallone never got lucky and made rocky. was a body builder back in the day "and has fucked over 100 chicks". is currently doing steroids, and spends 400 bucks per 12 week cycle. steroids make him feel like he is 21, and he oozes so much testosterone that "animals want to suck my dick". he hit on a "chubby red hair chick with a tattoo" at the bar, who rejected him because her boyfriend was at home playing video games (guitar hero!). proceeded to tell me that his sister once told him that "you're worse than any nigger i ever knew"--which he claimed was the biggest insult he could ever take--and then told me that at 41 he's taken really good care of his body, but the secret is to take cold showers and use lots of lotion. proof was in the elbows. he showed me his elbows, and how they're not wrinkled. i'm only 26, but he said my elbows were looking pretty good too. and that the secret to life is to always laugh and to moisturize.

so yeah. village pub is great for football. but get a booth.
