Cool pics!
But, are they as fun on the inside as they are on the outside? Or are they dank concrete bunkers inside?
What's even cooler is the book The Lost Vanguard: Russian Modernist Architecture 1922-1932 by Richard Pare. Some fascinating buildings, and a lot of the architects were purged in the late 1930s.
While these are interesting buildings--they are not very representative of Soviet architecture. I visited Moscow and Leningrad in 1985 and the Russian version of the "council flat" would make anyone want to kill themselves.
These are great. They look like screenshots from Myst or something.
I want my secret headquarters in that round building!
And I want all those victims off my beach!
That first one looks like something out of a 'Star Wars' movie.
The second one...just...yuk.
You're my favorite slogger, Mr. Mudede.
