Portland is a great place, duh. But the amount of fetishization, which has really reached fever pitch in the last six months (in the mainstream media, at least), is too much.
I, for one, am happy to see that some things are not determined by hype.
As a p.s., a friend was in P-Town for their fashion week. Her response: it was more humorous than anything else. Sort of an amateur night at the Apollo feel.
