ahhhhh...there are so many words I could say right now but I will let Mr Poe say them instead.

i must be a li'l dyslexic. i thought the question was "how do you know this is a woman?" which, upon closer inspection of the photo, seems like a fair question.

I have to be polite, professional, and most importantly: on topic, or else Amy Kate Whore will ban me from Slog. This is Slog, the DailyKos2. Not Slog, the Stranger's blog.

She looks lovely. Look at that...everything. I like the way she organizes her wrinkles. And that necklace, woof! You simply have to have balls to wear that, gurl!

I thought it was Tim Ceis, post gender reassignment surgery.

Oh for Chrissake, haven't any of you fags ever seen a woman over the age of twenty before? Mimi looks great.

What I don't get is, in what alternate universe are art museum directors well-known people? I imagine that everyone on earth who has any reason to know what Ms. Gates looks like knows what Ms. Gates looks like, and the rest? Why would they care?

Ms. Gates,
Thank you for the lovley art. You make my world a better place.
XOXO
Your friend,
Mrs. Y

Um, ok, but who elected her?

Once again Fnarf is the only person who makes any sense!
Kind of made my day when you said,
"haven't any of you fags ever seen a woman over the age of twenty before? Mimi looks great."

I had no idea that women could live past 20.

Not if you get a good grip, Mr. Poe, but it does happen.

Now see Mr. Poe even though you are a bigot and a brat I can still laugh when you say something funny.
Amy Kate Horn is my hero!

what a job Ms. Gates has done for us all - and I think the best is yet to come

nominate her Seattle Woman of the Year

Oh, applesauce! I'm not a bigot. I just don't like a lot of people. And a lot of people don't like me, so everything works out in the end, and there is no bigotry.

And calling for the genocide of all Christians is hardly bigotry. It's wishful thinking.

Mr, Poe wish real hard...
When you wish upon a star
and wake up where the clouds are far behind you maybe you will be in a place where there will be no Christians ; )

She may know art, but she apparently doesn't know what a hair brush is for.

You people are rude and ignorant. Mimi has done an amazing job of rebuilding SAM and creating the Sculpture Garden - both incredible assets. Of course the Stranger posted the photo and the question to invite this rude and insensitive response, nicely done, great value add.

She is great, and has done a wonderful job. On the other hand, she is one of the most intimidating and condescending women I have ever met...
She scares me.

Seems like a lovely woman to me - would people like her better than Hillary? Considering Hillary does not have a stepson merely 12 years her junior.

@ SDA: I always imagine that a person who makes snarky comments about others' appearance is usually bandbox perfect him/herself. Yes? No harelip, no open pustules, no chin whiskers, no strabismus.

Grow up? You're at the Stranger's blog, fuckwad.

Grow Up, you are defensive and simple. The sculpture garden is lackluster at best and the new SAM is a barely adequate museum for a city of Seattle's size. Mimi's contributions are destined to be forgotten unless she can do something meaningful--beyond what's worth clinking cocktails in her gentry circuit.
