This will amount to nothing but it gives the Dems something to do.
Kos helpfully pointed out that even with the help of a sitting president, he only managed to raise $12,000 more than Burner's netroots counter-event.
If Kos said Reichert's take was $12K greater than Darcy's, he's wrong. The joint fundraiser grossed $135K, but that's before paying any of their bills (such as the $63K-plus that went to the Hyatt Regency Bellevue).
After dealing with those bills, the fundraiser's FEC report shows that $26,166.73 went to the WSRP and an anemic $35,754.80 to Reichert's campaign.
In case anyone wants to read the actual complaint, not just the press release, I have it at http://www.kirkdorffer.com/ontheroadto2008/2007/11/formal-complaint-filed-regarding.shtml
And N in Seattle is right and much more in tune with the numbers than Markos.
Illegal Republic behavior?
Who would have thought?
Too bad they financed this with Seattle and King County taxpayer money for all the unnecessary security to shut down two highways when they could have taken a helicopter instead ...
