Are you hot?
Hawks are looking like what they were supposed to be: A completely dominant team in a weak ass division.
Qwest field looks great on High Def. Great night for football, but I can only afford 2 games a year.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Hopleaf! Kwak may be the best invention of all time. Makes me miss Chicago!
@3: Kwak is too hard to drink with that wooden glass-holding thing.
@2 Not watching on Hi Def here. Is Hi Def better than real life, that's the real question.
@ 1: That's up to you, I suppose. Look for me around the 30 yard line, row SS. Or at the Comet or Liberty.
Hi Def is the only way to watch sports. Hi Def makes Hasslebeck look like Joe Montana.
I will be at the game as well. along with my 8 year old son. We will both be wearing lucha libre masks with seahwaks gear. Any other sloggers going?
Oh damn! back 2 back turnovers. Clements got the interception.
SeMe:
Keep it going. We can turn this into a gang-live-slog. Pix, you in?
CF
THE D IS ON!! STUFFED!!
THE D IS ON!! STUFFED!!

re: beer at qwest: it ain't a mariners game, so it's more beer friendly. the vendors are good at scanning the rows -- just wave and catch his eye and you're good. people are good about passing brews and money back and forth if you're in the middle of the row, too.
as for the hawks/bears, your secondary hasn't been exactly tearing it up lately so i'm less worried about picks than sacks/pressure on number 8. part of the reason the hawks have been looking good in the first half is hasselbeck has had time to make plays. our o-line doesn't do a good job of giving him time in the pocket. or at giving alexander a shot at making it past the line of scrimmage without getting pounded into the ground.
... damn. that was almost a safety ...
so what's the word -- we going to see griese or will i get my rexy back ribs?
I swear, I only hit post once.
Morris is a poor man's Tony Dorsett.
i thought drew carey was from cleveland?
hey seme
his post just once, please
hey sexy rexy: no word yet from the Lovie Smith Administration, which tosses around information like the Bush Regime. Greise allegedly had an owie on his left shoulder yesterday, and should be fine for next Sunday. We shall see. And everyone should check out the best sports blog in America, Kissing Suzy Kolber

i dont think the SF qb is all that bad. he just has no offensive line.
thats prolly the same problem the bears have.
i want my rexy back rexy back rexy back...
Next week will be the battle of the mediocre teams. I predict Seattle by 3, as payback for last year.
Highlights from tonight?
Gore gets nothing.
Momo surprises us all.
Matt's rocket arm? Where'd that come from?
Big Mike not turning red ONCE!
Sean's face from the sidelines as his team did better without him.
It was great to see them playing like they'd all been at the same practice. Go Hawks!
I'm still pissed that Bobby never got the ball though. I just lost to the worst team in my fantasy league.
Drew Careys is in town cuz he just became a minority owner of Seattles newest sports franchise....Its unbelievable a team COMING into town, not trying to flee...oh and its soccer.
Come on, the Bears suck this year. There is no comparison to the teams of the past couple of seasons. You are STILL without a QB, but the big mistake was getting rid of Thomas Jones this offseason. Benson can't do it by himself (especially behind that O-line).
The Bears have had exactly ONE quality win this year (against the Packers, and 5 turnovers sealed the deal). The Bears had to comeback against the Raiders, for chrisskes!
I would start watching Football if Tim Gunn told me to. I'm open-minded.
Who cares. Go home, ChiFan, and quit polluting our local blog.
Oh, and FU, Dan, for nepotism. -10.
Seattle's just as bicycle-able as "flat" Chicago. Unless you're a pussy.
Monday morning quarterbacking, not counting multiple posts or my own comments, the score in this thread is 14 positive, 2 negative. A victory for sports slogging and nepotism!
and @21, I'm on the Slog record as being able to bike in Seattle. that dig was for the "Seattle's too hilly for bikes!" slog trolls.
I was at the game last night. Granted, the SF line ain't that great, but I have to disagree with you SeMe - Alex Smith was appalling with his accuracy. Appalling. I'm no 49ers fan, but Jesus Christ, dude couldn't hit a 7-yard pass to an open guy on an unhindered roll-out. Sad. Feel bad for the guy. And can Darrell Jackson even catch a football any more?
I do agree with you SeMe in that two games a year is all I can afford as well. Done til next year.
CF-I hope those "SS" seats are downstairs. I'm in "HH" upstairs, and that's a long goddamned climb. That's no quick run to the beer line or bathroom. Good luck.
Bears / Seahawks? Who cares? We all know that America's Team - the Cowboys will be representing the NFC this year in the super bowl.
I was at the game last night though. You'll be fine wearing a Chicago hat to the game. Fans will probably yell at you a bit, but this isn't NY.
Clint - Dallas can suck an egg. Go pack!!
I like Brett Farve and I am glad the team is sending him out on a high-note, but the Packers really don't have a chance.
Mmmm...Hopleaf...
Steamed mussels and CB&J. Wash it down with a nice lambic. Cannot beat it.
Lloyd, despite a bad game, it sure looked fun to be there. Im hoping the Bears game is just as fun, but like I said, Qwest is a good stadium to watch a game.
I know the SF qb looked lost, but I mean, he barely hiked the ball and was surrounded or was being chased by the Blue's D. A couple of times he looked like he just landed at Normandy. Id like to see him with a better line. I mean, he is no Vince Young, but he could be better with a better line.
By the way, what do you think about the Huskies' QB? Is he done? I know they say he will be back, but those neck injuries can comeback to haunt you, and he might start being a wee more restraint about running.
I think college football should do something about those blatant helmet to helmet hits.
i wouldn't be surprised if favre didn't retire this year. he's having too much fun. i wouldn't count favre, or the pack, out just yet. they're quietly having a big year. dallas has a great team, and the AFC is going to win this year no matter what, but the packers have been beating expectations all year long.
They play carolina, det, dal, oak, stl, chi, and det to finish the season, and I could see them reasonably going 4-2... and if they can beat dallas and split with det, 4-1.
SeMe - I think he'll be back. It looked worse than it perhaps is playing out - stinger/trap muscle injury. I'm sure he's being attended to enviably. But, agreed: Helmet to helmet has to be addressed. It's amazing the number of huge injuries specifically in the NFL this year. I don't know how long that can continue to go on without either more rule changes on hits or changes in equipment.
"I think college football should do something about those blatant helmet to helmet hits."
I wish Husky fans would grow some balls and stop whining because Locker got knocked out. Locker tucked the ball and ran with it. He was advancing the ball and deserved to be punished - the hit was perfectly legal.
If you're planning on having this dude take your team to the promised land, you have to take the good with the bad. You can't change the rules of football just to protect your savior.
I realize the the Huskies don't have a lot of options, but there is a reason that Locker was about to break the season rushing record for QB's. Most teams know that your QB shouldn't be running the ball that much.
