considering the recent spate of poisonous consumer goods from china, the headline should have read "is CHINESE water medicine or poison?"

For the average Chinese urbanite, it depends: Do you have two filters on your tap and boil all your water? If yes, the former. If no, the latter.

This reminds me of a full-of-crap- TA for one of my philosophy classes who insisted that PURE unadulterated water was poisonous. I still sometimes wonder where he came up with that.

kunming is a beautiful city in an amazing province.
and they have really good chou dofu (stinky tofu) which shouldn't make hester quite as squeamish.
