How bout a pay per view punishment for guys like this? Then donate the money made to the victims.

Slightly radical, but effective.

We take the guy, cut his balls off, and drop him into a tank full of hungry piranha. $18.50 for the pay per view package.

If these guys knew they would be dropped into a piranha tank with their nuts cut off if they were caught, I think they would think twice about what they are doing.

My first canidate is the Green River Killer.

Except he's probably a member of the religious right.

I don't think people who perpetrate crimes like this think too much about possible punishment. They either think they're too smart to get caught, not committing a crime, or they are compelled beyond reason to do what they're doing -- or a combination of things.

Actually, the tank shouldn't be full of piranha right away. We gotta stretch it out a little bit here on the pay per view, right?

So additional piranha are dropped in at 2 minute increments. That way it's a slow build.

Yeah, people who perpetrate crimes like this don't think too much about possible punishment because they know they can work the system.

Let's see them work the piranha system.

What a sick piece of work.

Normally I don't pass judgement on people until their day in court has run it's course, as a matter of experience. But it certainly sounds as if they have the evidence to put this abomination out of circulation for quite some time.

One can only hope that they do so.

By way of fairness, shouldn't this be filed under "Every young boy deserves a gay mentor?"

Sorry, I couldn't resist. I know you press types thrive on annecdotes, but they don't prove anything either way.

Abusers exist in every group. At least you are being fair in your reporting.

The issue is not so much where it is coming from, it's that abusers need to be taken out or done away with! If the religious right comes out bashing the Gay community you have more than enough discouraging info to throw in their face. You could shut them up real fast.

We have had to deal with a lot of abusers because we work with 100's of children in poor areas.
Just the other day I was singing with my group and this young guys in his twenties struck up a conversation and told me he really wanted to learn to sing, blah, blah, blah. The next thing I hear is my friend screaming in the little girls bathroom because this same guy took his pants off and was having a grand old time masturbating in the little girls bathroom. My friend was taking her young daughter in there and was quite furious at what she saw. Who knows if the guy would have ever actually touched a kid but he wont be back so we can find out either.
Needless to say we chased him out of there and he has never come back!

Wow, are you pro-death penalty?

Personally, I'm not pro death penalty on principal.

But there are times like these when the pay-per-view scenario proposed above that would provide SOMEthing to the victims seems like a nice idea.

As opposed as I am to the death penalty, when it happens to someone who clearly deserves it, are you really upset?

Dan is pro-piranha.

When he's elected Mayor, he's going to start the "Piranha Love" column where he interviews the killers and sexual criminals as they are getting nibbled on by the piranha.

He will ask them such things as, "How does it feel in there, fucker?"

It will be a runaway success.

And the victims get to put the piranha in!!!

@11 "Personally, I'm not pro death penalty on principal"

Really? What about on teacher, guidance counselor or PTA member?

Let his victims have at em in a cage match...No holds barred...And pay per view is well around $50-80, not $18.50. Whats the last thing you saw on PPV? Wrestlemania 2?

Dan, I thought you focused only on religious people who commit these crimes. Thanks for reporting on non-religious abusers for a change.

Okay, I'm not in any way defending this person, but, before we fry him like a "grosse" order of frites, could we at least go through the pretense of allowing him to be tried and found guilty by a jury of his peers before we go all sharia on his ass?

He only beat these kids, he didn't fuck them. I thought Republicants were all in favor of beating children. "Spare the rod, spoil the child."

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe pedophiles are generally gay identified. They don't usually engage in sex with adults, and if they do, it is with the opposite sex.

It's not the gender of the victim that usually interests pedophiles, but the innocence of the victims, and the power that they can exert over the victims.

How old were the "young boys". There are plenty of homosexuals who eroticize teen agers.

Aren't pedophiles just "being themselves"? Weren't they born that way?

@21: When I was in high school, I took a class in Early Childhood Development, and we learned about the signs of different sorts of abuse (sexual, physical, emotional, and neglect), and we learned about the myths surrounding child abuse. One of the myths is that all guys that sexually abused boys are gay. I'd always thought that was true. I figured that a guy that molested girls was a fucked up straight guy, and a guy that abused boys was a fucked up gay guy. Apparently, only about 28% of men that abuse boys are gay. Most men who abuse boys find sex with grown men disgusting. So it is the innocence (hairlessness) of the child that pedophiles are attracted to.

@23, Couldn't agree more. Nice to see a fact or two, and some commonsense rear its head in a silly thread.

Weldon Marc Gilbert is about to really find out what abuse is. He will soon be the most popular man in prison. He deserves every horrible thing that his future holds. Fucking bastard.

MJ - Good job not reporting him. You chased him away. He got what he wanted. Now he will go do it somewhere else. Where someone else will chase him away after he does what he wants. Good job.
