Abortions threatens the now target rich environment they enjoy. Gotta have your priorities.

I thought the Pope said it was wrong to vote for a candidate because she's pro-choice, but it's OK to vote for a candidate despite her being pro-choice. If the U.S. bishops are more tight-assed than Ratzinger, yikes!

Haven't all those Catholic churches been turned into luxury condos? I'm confused.

overheard while talking about just this issue:

"please remove the altar boy saliva from your cock before attempting to speak with moral authority, thanks."

I like how abortion takes priority of war. Dude, WTF?

There I go trying to make sense out of a bunch of crazy people.

Tax exempt organizations can support/endorse specific positions on issues just not specific candidates. So, the church can say, "don't vote for anyone who's pro-choice", but they can't say "vote for Bush, he's pro-life".

Though, James Dobson can endorse Bush, as he did in '04, as long as he does it "as an individual" and not "as chairman of Focus on the Family". Which is crap in my book, but whatever.

This is an outrage and a clear attempt by a foreign power to influence the elections in the United States. Members of the Catholic Clergy and lay Catholics alike should be forced to register with the State Department as agents of a foreign power, just like members of the CPUSA did back in the 1940's.

Look, those horny priests are just following one of life's most profound truths:

There's no room for relationships, there's just room to hit it.

Now if they could just lay off the kids.

Replacing Cardinal Bernardin with George is one of the most cynical moves of JPII. It's the ecclesiastical equivalent of naming Clarence Thomas to replace Thurgood Marshall.

Now what would rock is some enterprising souls hitting up their local Catholic churches with "Child Rape, Inc." in spray paint over the front entrance. Word.

Again, the good news is that no American Catholics these days give a shit about the priest's views on these kinds of issues anyway. How many Catholics are on the pill, anyway?

The best anti-catholic blogger in the biz, who is moderately not work safe, has covered this angle thoroughly:

I've been collecting his anti-catholic screeds here:

Don't be silly - children are only important while they're still in the womb. Once they've popped through the pink curtains their wellbeing becomes irrelevant.
