And we have to respect religion why?

Religious fundamentalists not only have no sense of humor, they have no idea why they are so constantly ridiculed.

This is the only news from Sudan? The capital is a 'predominantly Muslim capital'? Way to investigate! They're ochestrating a genocide in the south from there, it's not predominantly muslim.

How about a story about China propping up the government? How about reporting on that until something changes?

Hmm, wonder if toilet paper with the name and picture of Mohammed would sell really well in the Middle East? I mean the toilet paper has his pic on each sheet but it absorbs really really well. AND no chaffing!

Makes me grateful that I live in a country where people have the freedom to blaspheme at will.

At least they didn't dress the teddy bear up in girl's clothes and have it sit unveiled in a car - then they would have jailed the bear for a decade after a gang of men raped it.

The Saudis are not our friends. That said, extremism by any religious group is usually a very very bad thing.

Clearly he had it coming. Who names a teddy bear after a fucking boxer? What kind of message is that sending?

What the story doesn't mention is the bear's given last name:

Isafuckhead.

I just thought that was a bit much, don't you?

@8: If you're Muslim. In Saudi Arabia, if a Christian says the name 'Muhammad,' that's blasphemy.

Religion is organized ignorance, and Islam is a shining example.

I'm happy to find liberals (I assume) who aren't too PC to criticize Islam.

@10 - and if a Christian says stop using my US taxes to fund a foreign civil war in Iraq, is that blasphemy - or common sense?

Not that my religious choice (or whatever) is anyone's business ...

@14: Why don't you give Faithful America some money? It's tax-deductible.

@12 I'm not to PC to criticize all religion. Stupidity needs to be pointed out as such.
