There’s a review of her infamous short story—weirdly, not much has been written about it—in The Stranger’s book section this week.

One of my co-workers shared a room with her before she ran off to Italy, and now he sleeps on the bed she gave him when she left. I told him he should put it on ebay and proclaim it is the site of "a hundred terrible sex acts". Gotta be worth millions.

Only by adding the letter she wrote to her mom in Italian class the day before the arrest do have a collected works. A bilingual author, no less.

Never in American history has a short story gotten so much attention...

I had to stop reading about there.

I am sure she is all broken up that she can't write masterpieces like this:

Amanda Knox is the Fatty Arbuckle of the Twenty-First Century.

Thank you *so* much for contributing to the circus around this case. Almost as classy as this great news item from a few months ago.

Fucking pathetic.

Why isn't there a link to the story so we can read it for ourselves? (I did try google, but I didn't dig very deep.)

Why is she still alive?

I dunno, somehow I can't imagine an Italian prison to be all that idyllic.

It would seem that if the prosecuting attorney can successfully introduce Amanda Knox's short story into the trial that seems to be upcoming - perhaps as much a year out - then she is off to prison, as an accessory to murder. What a gutless little wench, to just put her hands over her ears whilst her roommate was raped and murdered.

She might not have been able to get them to come in time, but the very least she could have done was call the "politzi."

This is what the student exchange program to Italy has come down to.

In a truly just world, Ms. Knox would go through the same exact experience, to know exactly what her roommate went through.

Hey, if she goes to prison, maybe she will. I wonder if she has ever read "Deliverance"? Squeal like a pig, Amanda!

@ 10:

back off on the vengeance-is-mine vibe. thankfully, italian justice is less medieval than the US of goddamn A, and a "truly just" world isn't coming. ever.

"nestled between olive groves and pines in the hills outside Perugia."

The P-I article was the strangest bit of "journalism" I've ever seen on a murder case! Did they hire a travel writer stringer to cover this? What's next a food critic filing stories on prison grub?

I used to go to the coffee shop she worked at in the U-District everyday for lunch. She took my order and made my soup/sandwiches on several occasions. I can't believe she is capable of doing something like this, if she really did it...

@13:

I used to go to that same coffee shop. She made my lattes. I can kinda believe it...

Well, she played soccer with my daughter and went to the same high school together but I only knew of her as a 'spectator of high school soccer'....Not all kids who go to private school are 'Rich' ...trust me BUT...here is my take on this senseless, AND Brutal Murder....

Someone who lived at the same 'flat' as Meredith Kercher had to somehow let the 'murderer in'....

Someone who lived at the same 'flat' as Meredith Kercher had to have the keys to lock Meredith inside her bedroom...

Someone who lived at the same 'flat' as Meredith Kercher had to have confiscated Meredith's cell phones and throw them across the way into a 'neighbor's yard'...

Whoever this 'Someone Is' to me, is the Real Murderer....yes, whoever put the last knife wound into Meredith's throat meant to kill her [probably]...

TO LEAVE A STABBED VICTIM [WHO HAS BEEN SEXUALLY VIOLATED]LOCKED INSIDE HER ROOM SO THAT SHE, MEREDITH, WOULD BE UNABLE TO CRAWEL OUT AND MAYBE GET HELP....AND THEN TO BE SURE TO TAKE MEREDITH'S CELL PHONES FROM HER ROOM AND AWAY FROM HER SO THAT MEREDITH WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO CALL THE POLICE OR MEDICS OR FRIENDS FOR HELP...

WELL...THAT IS THE REAL MURDERER IN MY MIND!
THE OFFICIAL REPORT FROM THE CORONER SAID:
"IT TOOK AT LEAST 2 HOURS BEFORE THE VICTIM [MEREDITH KIRCHER] BLED TO DEATH FROM A STAB WOUND TO HER NECK"!

SICK, DISGUSTING, BRUTAL, FRIGHTENING, HORRIFYING, PITIFUL, SENSELESS AND HEARTBREAKING.

Hi,
I'm just back from Perugia and keen to speak to any of Amanda's friends. It seems like there's a lot of nonsense written about her and I'd like to write the truth
