Agent Garbes

posted by on November 28 at 9:34 AM

Stranger food writer (and basketball zealot) Angela Garbes has a story in the Chicago Sports Weekly about the local reaction to the Sonics mess.

It looks like her editors asked her to “hang out in the hood” to get the reaction on the street.

So, there’s lots of live Existential dialogue from fans at the Central District’s Philadelphia Fevre cheesesteak shop:

“My feeling is this is a done deal,” said Ankrim, shaking his head. This season Ernie splurged and upgraded his season tickets to courtside seats so he and his teenage son Eric could enjoy what they believe is one of the Sonics’ last season in Seattle’s Key Arena. It’s a peculiar honeymoon, one without a home to return to.

Good piece by AG. Thats why she gets the good seats at the game!

Soops keep losing than they will get another top pick. Is tough seeing them lose so much, but is a young scrappy team. Unfortunately, they always seem to run out of gas in the last minute. They play great, but there are no moral victories in the NBA. I agree this team is going to be awesome in 2 to 3 years. Durant and Green are men amongst boys! Unfortunately, I think theyre outa here.

On a different note, Despite their loss to Lebron's Cleveland, Kevin Garnett's Celtics are playing like demon beasts in Boston they are posessed and Bean town might bring home the bacon this year, and I for one hate them for it.

One great thing about the Supes situation is that I have never had so many offers for free floor seats in my life.

But, the situation is so bad that isn't even a guarantee I will go

Sonics? I thought they got renamed OK Go! or something ...

Besides, can't afford their games after buying season tickets for MLS ... Green City Killers rule!
