Is superstition the reason why you two think if you find a lot of news reports about something that means that thing happens a lot?

I heard ABC is shopping a Saturday morning kids cartoon version of Dan's podcast.

Who couldn't love a cartoon mouse with huge ears who answers cartoon chipmonk and cartoon elephant questions?

That is way too gay.

We heard these rumors all the way out here in the flyover zone of Michigan several months ago. I just hope the final project involves lots of jazz hands and song titles such as "This is so Fucking Great", "What the Fuck?", "Kids are Fucking Wonderful!" and "Every Child Deserves a Papa and a Daddy."

It's double-gay blaire, which counts the same as a double-negative--which, of course, makes it especially manly.

Actually, this is way too gay: The Kid: The Musical of the Book of the Same Name™ will basically be March of the Falsettos and Falsettoland except less Jewish, more Catholic, and more chorus girls

Considering one of the biggest hits on Broadway this season is a musical based on a throwaway film from 1980, I think "The Kid: The Musical" not only has potential, it sounds pretty fucking promising.

And think...hoofers singing songs like "Adoption Adaption" and "Portland!"

"...a whisper of pcp." This is why you'll always be my favorite Mr. Schmader.

I read The Kid. Loved it. Seriously.

But I can't for a minute imagine translating it to a Broadway show. Not even off-off-Broadway. What the hell are they thinking?!?

I have to say that I agree with SDA in SEA.

No musical could be as good as the book anyway--and nothing's as good as real life. Regardless, I say good luck to whoever's doing this.

Watching musicals while sitting in the theater in person = great. Watching a musical on TV or on the big screen = akin to watching a fishing show...except more gay.

With all due respect to SDA in SEA -- when Broadway is presenting stuff like this, THE KID doesn't seem so bad at all:

I. can't. contain. myself.

Sandra Bernhardt is the female lead. The Tony-clinching signature song is entitled "Birth Mother Blues"

Am I the only one who saw this coming????
