Al's gotta lay off the fried chicken. I feel sorry for the button on that coat. His ass fumes are not carbon neutral.

Bush, meanwhile, is looking more and more like Pat Robertson as he ages. No visible horns yet though.

Chimpy McSlaughter is a disgrace. That, and he's wearing an ill-fitting suit. Fucker.

The disparity in the level of intelligence is so glaringly obvious. It looks like Gore is attending some charity event for the mentally retarded.

Just look at that fucking monkey president of ours! 14 more months! Christ!

Excuse me? Bush won Florida by 537 votes, counted over and over and over again by multiple newspapers.

Wonder if Georgie-Porgy will offer Al and Tipper Air Force One for their little trip to Oslo? I guess the off-the-subject commenters on Al's suit-and-size are the same who will be buying that prison-break underwear and the same who will be fashion commentating on Hillary's style or lack thereof. Give it a break, lookists.

Slice of irony anyone?

Right on @9.

Should be subtitled "Good guys always lose."

@8, that's hilarious. Don't forget that the liberal media made up all that stuff about election 'hijinks' (aka disenfranchisement) in Ohio in 2004.

And that's the only time you'll see Al Gore in the Oval Office for the foreseeable future, kids.

there are other colors besides fucking blue.

@8: i've heard the exact opposite, and i don't know who to believe anymore. i guess it depends on HOW you counted.

regardless, that's one stupid, stupid malignant narcissist of a president.

It's a shame that President Gore participated in the farce of King George's selection by the unelected Supreme Court.

Al Gore didn't even win his home state of Tenn.

Nader did spoil the election. Al Gore lost it for being a tool.

Thats what you get when you sell out. Watch Hillary do the same freaking thing and get used to saying "President Gullianni".

@9 - Hillary is too busy being smart to be fashionable.

On that note, I do not understand the infatuation with the Gore-bot. Forget Nader, forget Florida ... Gore ran against a retarded monkey and lost (or, at least, it was close enough that Bush could steal it ... whatever).

Gore lost his own fucking state, people! That hadn't happened to a candidate in almost 30 years. If he'd won Tennessee, Florida would not have mattered. And you're still blaming Nader? Sheesh!

Posted by Mahtli69 | November 26, 2007 5:46 PM

That had to be really uncomfortable. I'll bet W farted or something.

Hillary is a tool of ZOG and multinational traitorous organizations that would enslave the entire human race in a morass of crass consumerism and war.

Get used to it. Cause she is going to be president and completely fuck the democratic party and the rest of our nation.

Please note this was the only pic in which King George did not look like a shrunken gnome next to the much taller President Gore.

Check out the newsfeed on Yahoo News for slideshows of Al Gore and Nobel Prizes if you don't think the MSM is trying not to make the Boy King look better than he actually is ...

@15 - disproven by numerous studies by the less biased European MSM news organizations.

But hey, worship your failed Boy King if you must, he's still a failure anyway you slice it.

You know if this was reversed and it really was Al Gore who was president George Bush would most certainly NOT be standing there next to him

Yes, but Gomez, you have to admit that is the best Slog headline you've seen in awhile.

Posted by exelizabeth | November 26, 2007 6:48 PM

If it makes you cry, just imagine the headline in 20 years. It'll probably be far kinder to the man who found his stride outside of the Oval Office and left behind a positive legacy of foresight and intelligence.

I'm just surprised that no one has commented on wikipedia at 15 citing ...wikipedia as a source to settle the ultimate outcome of the 2000 election. (Channeling my inner Amy Poehler) Really?

@21,

Of course, in a close election any one of a number of factors can be blamed.

What's particularly grating about the Nader thing, though, is the conceit that the difference between Gore and Bush was too insignificant to concern themselves with.

Posted by MHD | November 26, 2007 8:14 PM
32

@27: You're right of course, Madge, that if the situation were reversed Bush would not be standing in the Oval Office next to President Gore. A complete reversal would mean Bush had just won the Nobel Prize. Like that's going to happen...

@ 18 Etch-A: used to saying "Gully-Annie"?? - it's "Julie-Annie". If you're going to be so acerbically negative, at least spell the man's name properly. Speaking of douche bags: this week's TIME on Giuliani may change one's alleged mind.

please........... gore is just as retarded as bush, just not so fucking disgusting and far to the right. peace nobel prize???????
al gore is a disgrace, but he's had the best PR I've ever seen and it got him super-rich and appraised by people at the same time.
fuck al gore. it is a shame he won that nobel prize, it only serves to show that you can buy yourself a noble prize with enough money and influences.

"it only serves to show that you can buy yourself a noble prize with enough money and influences."

And the man standing next to him only serves to show that he (or his daddy's friends) could buy himself a Presidency and a War to call his own. Which one is the bigger crime? Which one has caused more death and devastation in the world?

Get some perspective, you freak in Spain.

Incidentally, Gore is an utter phony. That "environmentalist" claptrap is a joke and he knows it, that's why he won't run for President. He's just trying to go down in the history books for /something/ positive.

I'd like to think I can see murder in Gore's eyes in this photo. Like, a few minutes after this photo was taken, Gore puts his thick sausage-fingers around Bush's puny gibbon-neck and /squeezed/ until the hateful little turd fell to the floor dead. Gore's definitely picturing himself doing something like that -- his eyes say "It would be so easy... crush him like a bug... sweep him under the rug."

I'm sure he'd deny it, but it's all in his eyes.

That is the best headline ever.

you should get some perspective. just don't praise an idiot (gore) because he's standing next to bush (much worse than just an idiot... we all agree on that I think).

why the hatin' on gore? because his carbon use is higher than ghandi's?

if you're not a saint you have to STFU & let the world boil, right?

Bush's smile ain't phony at all--it's completely genuine. He couldn't be happier to rub it in Gore's face that it's HIS O.O. Gore, on the other hand, looks like he's trying to smile while holding back the tears. @37 is dead on.

Nader voter's motto: "I'm not an adult who lives in a world of imperfect choices. I'm a child the world owes a perfect candidate that sets my spirit free. Your plebian trivialities (approaching 1 million Iraqi dead, a razed US constitution, global ecological catastrophe...) are no concern of mine."
