I adore Kucinich for being so unabashedly honest, even if it does kill his chances of ever being near the White House. I also adore him for defending Hillary last night when Obama and Edwards were attacking her. I wish he had some kind of chance at getting the presidency, because he's definitely the anti-Bush.
@4: You think believing you saw a UFO is more fucked up that believing in The Rapture or some of the other conservative religious bullshit that Bush, et al bow down to?
@8, certainly, that is true. But Kucinich completely bungled the answer, and left the impression that he believes in little green space aliens.
He could have said "Yes, I saw something in the air that I couldn't identify, thus: an unidentified flying object. Could'a been a research balloon for all I know. I just couldn't figure out what it was." This is probably closer to the truth, and doesn't make him sound like a looney.
UFO is a generic term. It can be anything from a meteor to a weather balloon.
Unidentified Flying Object. Meaning the observer has no idea what it is. Obviously he didn't think it was a regular plane or anything else he could immediately identify.
So what? I've also seen things in the sky that I could not immediately identify. I'm sure many people have.

Psycho smile, meet flubber chin. Now annoy the hell out of us.
Maybe he was looking at the space needle.

And Kucinich fans wonder why most of us think he's unelectable.
Interesting.
I saw one when I was 16, but up north in Trail, BC.
At least he's honest.

True, remember that all but one of the GOP candidates have admitted that not only do they hate science, they don't believe in evolution.
There's stupid. And there's really stupid.
in all fairness, a ufo is merely an unidentified flying object. unless he specifically says he believes in aliens have sent ships here...

Unless this was an obvious trick question by the MSM designed to help them ignore talking about the issues by discrediting Kucinich.
He's still unelectable, tho.
I'd be interested to hear what cons have to say about the fact that their hero, reagan, claimed to have witnessed 2 ufo encounters....?
This is a non-issue.

The Republicans haven't jumped on this because Reagan made a similar claim.
I am surprised Kucinich admitted knowing Shirley McClaine.
