Poor Condi. She can't catch a break. I bet she's not sleeping these days. . .
I kind of question this business. I mean, what he actually said was, "all our social policies are based on the fact that their intelligence is the same as ours -- whereas all the testing says not really."
This isn't necessarily to say that black people aren't as intelligent, only that black people's intelligence might be different. But the concept that there might be genetic differences in types of intelligence, and that those genetic differences correlate with other indicators such as race or sex, while certainly provocative, is hardly defamatory. I believe that atrocious piece of shit Women's Ways of Knowing is still being rammed down undergrad's throats in colleges all over the country, and that work takes an extremely essentialist approach to epistemology.
WTF is with the foreign policy against Iran. I know that their leader is a douche, but this is ridiculous.
Bush is fucking baiting the guy. It's like if I went to a party and found one person I didn't like. Then I told everybody "this guy is going to hit me." I then proceeded to follow him around, spit on him, talk shit about him, and generaly be an ass until he does hit me.
I know it's not a profound thought, but it's how I view the situation.

he made those comments off of his personal prejudice, not based on any research he is currently conducting or has performed. it is an opinion, or a hypothesis at best, that he really had no place in suggesting.
not only that, but did you read his other comments? saying anyone who works with an african employee knows this to be true? hardly scientific. very inflammatory.
and he clearly didn't mean "different" ... he meant lower.
You missed this on the PI. (the reason this gay guy stays home on the weekends anymore)

BTW, when do these crimes become a "trend"?
This actually made me laugh:
But, seriously, Watson is aware that Africa is a freakishly diverse continent, right?
All out air assault on fires in Cali? 90 percent of the airborne fire-fighting equipment and pilots for said equipment is over in Iraq.
More like "a few brave souls left behind".
seems like a lot of slog commentators agree with watson as well judging by their characterizations of the african american community over obama.
No, we don't agree with Watson.
But we're glad he retired.
