Politics Santorum Leaks Possible Run

The former Pennsylvania GOP senator, trounced in his re-election bid last year by seldom-seen Democrat Bob Casey Jr., apparently has grown weary of beating the drums about the ongoing terrorist threat as a senior fellow with the Washington-based Ethics and Public Policy Center. The American Spectator reported last week that Santorum is seriously mulling a run for governor in 2010, when the race will be wide open. Term limits will force current Gov. Ed Rendell from seeking a third term.
Rick Santorum isn’t going to let a little thing like losing a state-wide vote by nearly 20 percentage points stop him from running for governor. But the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review points out that Santorum’s residency would be an issue:
…a Santorum gubernatorial bid is dependent on the Virginia resident being agreeable to actually living in Pennsylvania again. When he was a senator, you may recall, he found that idea abhorrent.
Please run, Rick, please, please, please!

After moving up to Delaware from Texas and spending quite a bit of time in Philadelphia, I have to say the idea of Gov. Santorum is absolutely horrid. I have to say that there's something about hanging out in a gay bar and having Gov. Rendell stroll through for a little meet-and-greet.
Get more Santorum...here...

May I just say that the headline on this post is pure genius. Yuck.
I wish he'd run for prez.
It'd be funny, because he'd get slaughtered again.
I can just see the Democratic convention-goers in Pennsylvania all wearing spreadingsantorum.com t-shirts. Extraugly.com won't better start another run (har!) on those shirts.
Think of all those unsold t-shirts yearning to be free, Rick!
Maybe he doesn't like having to pay for the perks to which he's become accustomed. He gets them gratis as a government official.
But wait, don't senators who serve a couple of terms get a fabulous yearly stipend after leaving? So, it must be power he wants .
Shag carpet, mood jewelry, padded shoulders, Grunge and Rick Santorum. All things that should never come back, even for laffs.
I still like Grunge. And shag carpet is nice for ... um ... recreational things.
I for one am looking forward to running Santorum. I'd happily buy that T-shirt.
Why should he wait so long to run for office? He might be missing a golden (brown) opportunity here.
Isn't James Dobson looking for a third party conservative Christian candidate for President?
