He shouldn't resign. He should keep his position, come out of the fucking closet, and work towards civil rights for gays. He should be a posterboy. Instead, he's just embarrassed.

Dan, is this a real resignation or a fake cock-tease resignation?

He may be an ex-legislator but he's not gay, dammit!

I bet good ol' Ricky is wishing he gave the hooker the $1000 bucks like he promised instead of going to the cops.

"State Rep. Richard Curtis,.... has reigned from the Legislature,"

And we thank god his reign was short before he could do further harm to our civil rights.

I agree. He should come out of the closet, run for the same position, and work for gay marriages and civil rights for GLBT citizens with the same fervor that he attacked them.

I still think this is incredibly funny.
Karma.

It has become clear that he can no longer effectively represent the constituents who elected him.

If he had tried to pay for straight sex, as opposed to M4M, we would not see this kind of comment.
And if he were black, he would've been fired long ago.

How come people like DeBolt never pray that gay people and our families have the strength and support we need to meet the personal challenges we face as victims of anti-gay Republican legislation?

Oh, right. Because people like DeBolt are the problem, not the solution.

Yet another closeted gay politician in the gay-bashing Republican party? I'm truly shocked, shocked I tell you.
