Joe.My.God always had the same lineup as your HOMO posts. What's up with that? He never links to you. You link to him. Do you both surprisingly receive the same info?

Yesterday I said I'd do him for $100. I low-balled (Ha!) the estimate. Make that $1,000 or the wallet.

Call me a prude, but why would anyone want to bareback? Forget about potential deadly STIs, what about not wanting santorum directly on your cock?

Yeah, he's a 21-time loser, but he's bringing down a congressman, which is sweet.

The comments on columbian.com (Clark County's newspaper) are a window into a mentality nearly as creepy as Curtis is. Mostly they're about some stupid casino, but there's plenty of "I just don't want queers running the government", and the usual Republican point-missing of "Democrats are hypocrites because they only think getting busted for sex is bad when Republicans do it, Bill Clinton, Bill Clinton" yah-yiz.

Is it too early to suggest that the theme of next year's Pride parade be: "Hey GOP! We're NOT GAY too!"

Anyone taking bets on how quick Curtis resigns and goes into rehab?

My bet is the late Friday afternoon news dump.

What I find interesting is the complete lack of coverage by the local mainstream daily papers. Even King 5 covered the developments this morning, but the PI and Times have been strangely silent. The closest I've seen to actual coverage was a blog entry on the P-I website with a link to an AP story. WTF, mainstream media? No wonder you're slowly going extinct.

MESSAGE FOR SEATTLE VOTERS
Just wondering - do you think Mr. Curtis was a fan of Concerned Women of America?

My bet says - YES. Bet he sent them money when he got their fund raising letters. Think on it.

Remember to vote.

Point of clarification -- Curtis is a member of the state house, not a member of congress. Doesn't really matter, because I feel like this is an early Chanukah present. He's a mean, mean man. Not as mean as Jim West, but hasn't been on the scene as long as Jimmy was.

No doubt he will resign very, very soon.

UNBELIEVABLE!! When is a GOP big-whig like Dick Cheney going to finally intervene and admit that the Republican Party and Republican families are totally and completely infused with homosexual behavior, homosexual lifestyle indoctrination, and homosexual practices? Goddamn, these idiots need to fess up once and for all and put an end to their anti-gay charade. And Log Cabin, can you please step up to the plate and clean your own freakin house?!!

At least the closeted Republicans have good taste. Not as hot and woofy as Craig's reputed past prey who surfaced, but tatsy all the same!

Mike in MO @4,

Just to be clear: Everyone should always wear condoms. That said--unprotected sex for a top feels about 1,000,000 times better. Trust me when I tell you that's why men, het and gay, have been lying and dying for it for thousands of years.

Original Andrew: santorum is a steep price. It's not like condom sex doesn't feel GREAT too. Just saying.

Mike in MO @19: Assuming neither partner has an STD (don't just take him at his word; get the results of a test first!), it's possible to have unprotected sex without risk of santorum. Just follow the steps Dan has given before: Use the bathroom ahead of time, and then use a douche to clean out whatever's left in there.

#19 that is why god invented the anal douche.

it would be nice if a graphics-savvy stranger staffer could compile an infographic or timeline of all the GOP sex scandals in the past year. it's so hard to keep track of all of them.

Not implying that closeted married homos are pedophiles, but I'm sure Dick Curtis' bio is sure to make a few parents of kids on is Little League teams a bit freaked out...

I wonder how "deep" his commitment to "serving" Cody Castagna was?

Oh, and look! He's a proud veteran of the US Air Force. I wonder if he wore the red stockings and lingerie under his flight suit? Now that would be hot!

From his official Bio:

A New Mexico native and second-term state representative, Richard and his family make their home in La Center. They’ve lived in southwest Washington for over 11 years.

Driven by a deep commitment to serving others, Richard has worked in the emergency services field for over 19 years and is currently a Fire Captain-Paramedic for the Vancouver Fire Department. He also owns a small business that provides instruction for advanced cardiac life support at Southwest Washington Medical Center.

A paramount function of his profession is staying up-to-date with the latest life-saving and firefighting techniques in his field. As such, Richard has completed many hours of coursework in fire science, para-medicine and public administration. He studied at the University of Arizona, Clark County Community College, Western Oregon University, Portland Community College and Portland State University.

In addition to being a husband, father, fire captain-paramedic and state representative, Richard is also involved in the community. He served as a La Center City Councilman and is the founder of the Tribal Development Taskforce, a group of southwest Washington elected officials who examine the impact of the proposed casino complex. Richard has volunteered his time coaching youth sports teams as well as serving as a Little League Safety Officer. Additionally, he is a U.S. Air Force veteran.

So he's a model citizen. It's too bad that people can't understand that perverts can be model citizens too, and that hating and fearing them -- or yourself -- for their sexual peccadilloes just causes unecessary grief for everybody. The first person who needs to integrate the ideas of "unusual sex appetites" and "model citizenry" is Rep. Curtis himself. Instead, he's destroying his own life and those of many others.

Richard Curtis is receiving all the kicks to the head at once. He must be miserable and despondent, sorry and sad. He must feel shame and anguish, hurt and despair. I bet he feels sorry for his family and angry with himself - so stupid to throw it all away, so stupid to put himself in this situation. Because of him, his kids and wife face ridicule and what surely seems like all the angst in the world.

Richard Curtis: You need to apologize to the GLBT community for your heinous treatment of us. You contributed mightily to the pain and anguish and suffering of our people. Whatever disorders you have in your own life that prevented you from being true and decent to yourself have manifested in harm to good people. Say you're sorry, mean it, and make amends.

Many of us are kind and gracious and forgiving - certainly not all. If you truly atone, we'll welcome you. If not, you can go fuck yourself even more than you have.

Anna and brandon,

You guys! I totally wasn't gonna go there to protect Mike in MO's sweet innocence. But yes, if your partner's clean and ready to go--I also prefer freshly showered--then santorum really isn't an issue.

P.S. brandon @ 21,

TPM Muckraker has a fairly good round-up of most of the legal scandals, though sadly not all the sex ones.

Be sure to click on Grand Old Docket under Muck Resources to get started, 'cause for fuck's sake the scandals all have to be alphabetized there's so many!

I think Richard Curtis has tipped the balance. GOP is now much more describable as the Gay Old Party. BAM!!!

Posted by DevlinBack | November 2, 2007 1:32 PM

Open letter to the Republican Party:

The Republican Party is a national embarrassment when it comes to issues of sexual orientation. The party consistently opposes hate crimes legislation, domestic partnership, gay marriage and antidiscrimination laws protecting gay, lesbian and transgendered citizens. Yet, members of your party continue to be caught in compromising gay situations, including, but not limited to, Larry Craig, Jim West and now Richard Curtis. Sadder yet, not only do these homophobic men have gay sex but they compound the deception by lying about it and their orientation. Then, hypocritically, they continually and consistently vote against any and all legislation concerning positive and supportive gay issues along with the rest of your ilk.

When will your party truly become inclusive and supportive of all our citizens? Certainly never as long as the religious right maintains its stranglehold on your party. I am anxiously awaiting the 2008 elections when we will reelect a Democratic governor, turn out enough Republicans to capture veto-proof houses in Congress and elect a Democrat to the presidency. You continue to shoot yourselves in the foot. I must say that I am very happy to see it happen.

And, oh yes, please continue to encourage men like these to deny that they are gay. We do not want these lying, hypocritical, self-hating jerks to be a part of our community.
