I’ll be on KUOW’s Weekday this morning, talking about the news of the week with Slog favorites D. Parvaz and Danny Westneat.
The show starts at 10 a.m., and although I don’t control the discussion topics, I do end up with a mic in front of me for an hour, so… What should we yak about?
Well, other than the RTID/ST2 debacle, which I think they may have talked about today (but not with you and Danny W on), you could talk about the new skateboard facility or maybe you could talk about how we live in a time when people have little hope for the future.
Oh, wait, that would be better with Charles in Charge.

Speaking of radio, nearly the entire AM dial was dead air for almost my entire commute home on 405 during the previous hour. KVI and KOMO were the only stations still broadcasting on the AM band that I noticed, at least.
the concept of TGIF is a good topic, seeing that all days are the same from an 'objective' geo-scienc-y POV. also how Applebee's, Hooters, TGIF's, etal are pretty much the same. in general, talk about the alphabet, with an exagerrated lisp, that's criticle this too, no LOL
The rising anti-semitism in Seattle would be an interesting topic for me. With the Christian holiday season approaching, I'd like Christian Seattle to know how offensive their snowmen, stars and ornaments are to Jews. Can we get a Menorah in the Airport already?
During the RTID/ST2 conversation, you could mention how much former mayor Charles Royer, who was on KUOW recently, sounds a lot like Dan Savage. His voice that is, not his rhetoric.
I’m interested in this morning’s NYT (which never fucking got delivered goddam my fucking newsprint addiction).
Interesting article talking about the hallelujah thank-the-lord surprise that Fred Thompson: the highly anticipated, plain-talking, TV star from good ole’ Tennessee is turning out to be a “subdued, sonorous, laconic presence who speaks in soft monotone, displays little drive, and lulls his audiences to stillness”.
Can’t shake my fear though since he’s still somewhat unknown quantity while we know how imminently beatable Imoldandneeda (mc)Cane, Mitzymormon, and Julie Annie are. (tip to KY. COL.)
Could you talk about the weird splash page they have up at www.kuow.org trying to get people to contribute? I mean, is it just me or is there something funny about the following set of words?

Blackwater.
Statistics 101: Do political reporters need to take it?

Talk about how hot Marty Griswold is.
Talk about Ken Vincent.
ron sims, and whether or not it's time for him to leave office due to ineffectiveness. that and the rtid/st2 debacle.

The real heterosex in Ang Lee's "Lust, Caution" vs. the implied homosex in "Brokeback Mountain". Discuss, contrast.
Bill Sherman vs. Dan Satterberg - who is hotter? smarter? more electable? Discuss, contrast.
Do not discuss or contrast Hillary vs. Julie Annie - boring, predictable.
Has anyone made Dan Savage an offer he cannot refuse?
There - your work's done.

Talk about the unbearable rightness of liberty and how we sell it for hotcakes and HUMP.

Intimate, Community, Relevant, Intelligent, Essential, Tote Bag, Stimulating, Vital, Reliable . . .
I mean, that's a joke, right? Right?
I thought KUOW was an enemy of the slog?
Tote bag!
Great discussion, Eli. I wish you could be on all of the time, along with Danny Westneat and D. Parvaz. I still miss Susan Paynter.
