What, you thought we'd dress up as the Weekly for Halloween? Jack Hornady channeled the spirit of Seattle Metropolitan for this week's cover illustration. He can also draw a mean Frito Pie....

Ugh. So weak and uncreative. One of the worst Stranger covers EVER. I can't believe you're flaunting this here.

And this obsession with slagging every other newspaper and magazine in town is getting really, really, really old.

@12 AMAZING? Not quite the word I would use. Jack Hornady does great work, don't get me wrong. Too bad it's squandered here.

And what a coincidence, the Stranger figures prominently in the press clips on your site.

Comment by PdxRitchie(AKA Cooler Than Cool)

Hey #10, it's a cheeky halloween cover, not a submission to the Guggenheim.

I don't know if that's something you can do, you know, submit to the Guggenheim, but it doesn't matter, cause that's not what they're doing.

And this obsession with slagging The Stranger on Slog, sorta sad. Seriously.

Comment by Annie.

To be honest I work at another publication in Seattle and I thought the cover was quit cute and funny.

I often find the fact that the Metropolitan's whole basis is to make odd numbered lists a bit shady and a joke to their readers. You'd think that a magazine with readers who are well educated and "leaders" in the community would give their readers more credit. But, they are typically featured next to the magazine tabloids...
