So is this all a setup for Accept's reunion to shoot the video for "Balls To The Wall 2007" or not? And what else will the Watchmen being doing on the wall?

Wait, you mean that was a lie? ;_;

Hutch, I've seen your wife. Woof. What a cow.

Posted by Mr. Poe | October 16, 2007 12:17 PM

Whenever someone claims to offer a presentation about what God is and isn't pleased with, I reach for my revolver.

Posted by Westside forever | October 16, 2007 12:30 PM

More of a cow than Hutch himself?

Posted by keshmeshi | October 16, 2007 12:35 PM

Hutch makes me wish there really was a hell.

Posted by monkey | October 16, 2007 12:37 PM

#1, ha ha ha, weird, I was just having a conversation about this on Sunday.

And Hutch, I don't even think your Bible presents a clear indication of what God is and isn't please with.

Posted by Dougsf | October 16, 2007 12:45 PM

No. Good Lord, no.

Posted by Mr. Poe | October 16, 2007 12:48 PM

I own a cow and she is insulted that any of you would associate cows with Hutcherson.

Posted by jamesb | October 16, 2007 12:53 PM

thank gawd hutch has the direct line on what 'god' is or isn't pleased with- I will rest easy knowing I don't have to worry about it myself!

Posted by NELBOT | October 16, 2007 1:01 PM

i don't own any cows -- but i, too, am surprised such a supposed liberal blog would villify one type of bovinae as such.

Posted by infrequent | October 16, 2007 1:08 PM

because, james, it is wrong to thing one can "own" a cow as one might own a watch or a wall.

Posted by infrequent | October 16, 2007 1:11 PM

Be nice, my children. It's cruel to mock the retarded man.

Posted by God | October 16, 2007 1:11 PM

"think" if you couldn't figure it out.

Posted by infrequent | October 16, 2007 1:15 PM

Ok "companion" cow for which I am responsible?

Posted by jamesb | October 16, 2007 1:25 PM

The mere idea that God is or is not pleased robs one of breath. Sunny day in Seattle: God is pleased; earthquake: not so much.

Posted by RHETT ORACLE | October 16, 2007 1:37 PM

1. Ken Hutcherson.
2. His wife.
3. Informal. a domestic bovine of either sex and any age.

I'm not so sure why Pastor Hutch has to pray for a clear presentation. It ain't that hard to figure out. Here's what Jesus says (Mt. 5: 43-48): "You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect." And here's what Jesus said about being gay: nothing!

what gall. to claim to know the mind of god! if god is so petty to be pleased or displeased by any particular event, that's not much of an omnipotent being.

in fact, you could likely turn that into an argument for god's non-existence. at least in the sky-grampa form that his most vociferous adherents visualize.

Posted by maxsolomon | October 16, 2007 1:48 PM

I think it would just be totally fun to convince people like hutch that god is speaking to them, except really it would be me, and i could make him do whatever i want!
i think i need to get one of those voice distorting thingys, cuz he probably wouldn't believe that god sounded like a woman.

I love Eli!!

Posted by Amelia | October 16, 2007 2:16 PM

Please tell me someone has already made the "Ken, stop playing with yourself / It IS GOD!" joke already.

Posted by matthew fisher wilder | October 16, 2007 3:14 PM

Yeah, I did about 10 Prayer Warrior posts ago but I'll do it again if you want....

Ken... this is God.... STOP PLAYING WITH YOURSELF!

How was that?

Posted by monkey | October 16, 2007 3:28 PM

monkey IS God!

Posted by matthew fisher wilder | October 16, 2007 4:57 PM

let me tell you about niggas like hutcherson, there are lot of them. They basically have gay men and women do a lot of stuff for them like singing in their choirs and cutting their hair. Niggas like hutcherson will NEVER talk shit to a gay mans face when they are getting their hair done or when they are singing in their choir....NEVER. they just give them this funny look. but when they are out of sight this nigga will talk all kinds of shit about how he want to go to war with us. If that nigga wants a war then I say fine. I say gays should stop doing his hair and the hair of any other nigga who talks shit about us behind our backs. I say that gays should stop working behind the scenes at record labels where there are rap niggas who call them faggots on an album AFTER a gay man has helped to mix the tape and do all the work for the album to go platinum or whatever. I say fuck these niggas, they want a war they got one. Hutcherson is a pussy who only fucks with white gays because he knows they won't do anything but talk. He knows that any gay black man will fuck him up for talking shit. I am done now

lucky - with comments such as that you show your complete ignorance of hutcherson, how pathetic, you're just regurgitating garbage without checking things out for yourself

Posted by mighty dr | October 17, 2007 3:22 PM

As a 'rev' and 'out of the closet Christian' I need to say I am embarrassed that Rev. Hutch and I share some of the same identity. Please know/remember that his interpretation of scripture is pretty wacky!

Posted by Rev DV | October 17, 2007 10:21 PM

With the exception of mighty dr, the rest of you display your incredible and intentional ignorance of Hutcherson, Jesus and the Bible. But, what bothers me the most is the nastiness of most of the comments. I challenge any of you to correctly quote Hutcherson with any sort of vile crap that you folks display. Certainly, he's a far better example of how to love those who hate you. You just show once again that those folks who feel they are the object of bigotry are often the most bigoted, ignorant and misinformed folks around. I guess it's easier to just assume someone who challenges your point of view must be at least wrong and probably hateful. Much easier to do this than think of that person as just as much a caring human being as you are who has different insights and knowlege. Easier to call names than to have reasonable dialogue. Why bother with the truth when you'd rather be smug in your supreme arrogance?
