Am I the only person who does not care that anyone is brining Imus back? And did anyone listen to Imus when he was on TV in the first place?
He is just another ranting idiot with air time. Let him make an ass out of himself. And let's get that protest organized for Lynwood this weekend!!!
I can't believe that Rice is even talking about a Palestine State. That just amazes the fuck out of me. Maybe there will be one good thing the Bush Administration does before the end of his term. It wouldn't make up for all the failings, but would be HUGE in helping to establish peace.
I do wonder about the timing though, since she is supposed to testify in a trial about giving secrets to the Israeli government....
Someone told me that they revised the cell phone/hands-free law and made it effective this past Friday (instead of July 2008). But I've searched all over and can't find any news stories on it. Is this true? They also said they are now ticketing for not using your blinker to change lanes or merge..instead of it being a secondary offense. Again, can't find it anywhere in news online or the WA State website
That piece about Imus is hilarious. The Drudge report is practically creaming their jeans over his return, calling it "a dramatic and dazzling career rebound" (you think they described Gore's resurrection that way?) and breathlessly ask "WILL THE ELITES TURN THEIR BACK ON HIM?" regarding whether he can actually get major political figures on his show. Oh yeah, his "stunning comeback is a defeat for those who protested and picketed Imus earlier this year" and Hillary Clinton in particular is going to feel his wrath.
So it's illegal to DWC (Driving While Cell-phone-talking) now? I thought that was supposed to happen July 1, 2007?
Why are people still doing it then?
And I don't think the 13 yo boy was driving when they shot him for using a cell phone.
it's only illegal if you're holding the phone in your hand instead of using a hands-free device. I did notice to phone stores with signs saying they moved the "effective date" up to last week. But still can't find any valid news stories to support this. Maybe it's just a marketing ploy to get people to buy new phones!
I wish there was a bounty.
Then I could make a mint taking pics of people breaking the Driving While Cell-Phoned and retire.
I still say if they're going to outlaw cell phones in your hand while driving then they also need to do a crackdown on eating, reading, shaving, putting on makeup...etc. I see more swerving and near-accidents from people preoccupied with these tasks than ones on their phones. I still don't get the shaving while driving...can't you guys do that at home?!?!
