Meantime, he will have remained in office, continued to collect his salary, and boost his pension that's based on years of service."

That being said, can anyone please explain to me how having a cop sit on a toilet for 8 hours a day 7 days a week arresting people - not for having sex- but for possibly arranging to have sex- is a good use of tax dollars? Why aren't more people outraged about that issue?
Maybe if they'd put more money towards public works rather than toe tapping cops that bridge wouldn't have collapsed.

Because the reason that cop was there is that people complained about what was going on in that bathroom in general, I would assume.

I'm thinking the locals are happy; they asked for action and they got it. Whether it was an appropriate expense, yadda yadda, is irrelevant to those people.

Though, the last congressman who was convicted of a crime ended up getting expelled. Trafficant, (D-Ohio), then ran for office the next term from his prison cell and got a good percentage of the vote.

Guess it's different for Senators though, a little more moral flexibility perhaps... or maybe just for goppers?
