But it's sunny right now in Seattle, at least for the next 3 minutes -- oh woops, sun just went away. Oh wait, there it is again! Why can't they make sun detecting wallpaper?

There are a lot of New York Reader fans in the Point Dume residential area of Malibu, Christopher, you know.

The hail and thunder and lightning was actually pretty cool. And now there is a rainbow.

Jeezus, the weather whining from folks around here is SO tiresome. October is the best month of the year! Bring on the chilly breezes and the drizzle! Woo-hoooo!

What Yogi said. The leaves are turning. Get a friggin' scarf if you're so cold.

Look now! It's nice again! Expect hail in twenty minutes.

So long as they're not jumping off the Aurora Bridge, I'm fine with that.

Summer? We had a summer? Why did no one tell me?

When was it?

@3, It's like that comedian said at Bumbershoot: In Seattle, if you don't like the weather, just wait five minutes...and shoot yourself in the face.

Looks fine. Meh. Shitty weather rules, anyway.

Eric, if you substitute the Mid-west for Seattle, then that's funny!

This is Fall weather. See that first shock of red on that tree? See that traffic? No going back till the first Pineapple Express of the Spring.

The worst part of jumping off the West Seattle Bridge is that when you land, you're in West Seattle.

I may get to see some aurora jumpers firsthand in the near future- looking at a job at a place under that bridge. As for the weather, I do appreciate a sandy beach on a warm day, but California is way too fucking hot. I was born there and have no plans of moving back, thanks. Fall here is as pleasant as weather gets, for me. But then, I'm not homeless.

Christopher, maybe it's you, and if it is, please try it out, but a place where the weather is a mild August 11 months out of the year is not necessarily heaven.

I love what you humanoidal creatures define as "shitty" weather. Why am I typing like a star trek freak? No idea. Up too long. Need sleep. Starting to resemble computer. Beep. Bring on the rain, wind, thunder, lightening, sweaters, coats, hats, umbrellas, scarves, gloves, etc.!!! Yah! Yah! Yah!!!

With any luck, I'll be surfing that coastline in the next day or two. It all just depends on my work load and whether we get a little SW swell.

It's not always about the weather.

It's always good to have a place in your mind that is not where you actually are.

A place that has good energy to combat the sometimes negative, bitter crap that seems to thrive whenever a bit of genuine humanity is offered.

Thanks for the pics, and those of the other day.
You that don't like it can scroll on by.

The weather is fine. If it rains heavily, I go inside or keep an umbrella handy. If it blows hard, I pull up my jacket collar. If it's dark, I turn on the lights. If there is lightning, I turn of my computer and read a book. If there is an epic windstorm and the power goes out, I light candles, eat canned food, throw out everything in the fridge, and don't light up a charcoal hibachi with the windows closed.

Really, Puget Sound's weather is about adaptation. If you're not happy with the weather here, if you'd rather be in Malibu where it's warm and sunny and full of silicone, why are you torturing yourself nine months a year by being in Seattle? Do yourself and all of us a favor and take a long vacation somewhere warm.

Old Timer, that is so true! It's wonderful to always have another place in your mind.
I'm here in the tropics wanting to be cold and by a fire place! I live in the hills so it will get cold one day soon!
It's horribles but I'm sick of the sun....
I want to wear big fluffy sweaters and boots.

Old Timer - I agree. I'd add, too, that that place in your mind can have a weather-beating outlet too. It can't be understated that year-round outdoor sports playing / excercise is a top notch way to get from Fall to Summer here.
