Don't feel sorry anymore. Even though the toddler cannot choose his asshole parents America has to learn a lesson (over and over) about these fucked up animals. These type of dog owners also snort coke on their baby and mix meth in the nursery.
or that the public at large can sue on behalf of the public good and that money can be spent on parks, or schools, or renaming children put into foster care.
No shit, I was hassled last night by those 9/11 freaks. I had just picked up my baggie of coke in the U-District, and leaving the backway down the fire escape. There I was greeted with a bedsheet banner being held by four people who could have passed for College Republicans. It read:
ALLEY TRUTHERS ON CHAIRS!
It was some sort of sit-in protest, and they were targeting us druggies, as well as other vagrants. When will these nutcases stop!? Feed 'em to the dogs.
Pit Bulls are fine animals. So are bears and mountain lions. In common, they're too volatile to fully domesticate and too strong to restrain. They all belong outside the city. On farms, perhaps.

Dogs and infants do not mix. How many attacks does it take before we realize it? All dogs are unpredictable and infants are unaware of the danger and cannot defend themselves. Parents cannot supervise dogs and kids all the time.
You wouldn't leave your kids with a complete stranger, why leave your kids near unpredictable animals?
I find it disturbing how successful it is when the media plays to base irrational fears.
But I find equally disturbing when people react so duplicitously as well.
I wonder how many people so fully embracing the "it's the owners!" meme also agree with this "personal responsibility" charge when, say, the topic is hand guns? After all it's irresponsible hand gun "owners" that are the problem, right? Not the guns.
The problem with large powerful dogs like pits is not necessarily a behavior inherent to their particular breed, rather it is the fact that ALL dogs under certain circumstances will bite. And the more powerful the dog... the worse the bite. Pits are very, very powerful animals. When they bite it is bound to cause serious damage.
Now. Given that fact (the rather unique trait of pits as powerful dogs) think of them like we think of guns. While I support second amendment rights I cannot in good conscience support the right to own fully automatic weapons by the general citizenry. Not with out special licenses, etc. Also dog park restrictions on larger and powerful breeds (mandatory separate areas for instance) would not seem unwarranted.
Why is is so absurd to do this with large or powerful animals?
Certainly you would help eliminate the bad owners this way. It could only HELP the breed.
@27: saying that all dogs and all infants do not mix is just stupid. there are millions of families that have both dogs and infants and nobody gets hurt.

I'm okay with Pit's attacking kids, just not adults.
Uh, I don't get the "I'm required by law" joke. Please to explain.
Im okay with owners attacking pits.
sigh
although in this case, that fucking white trash family deserved it. naming your kid jayden is a lightening rod for bad luck.
@2: Click the "shit" "like" "this" links (and, if you're a masochist, read the comments.)
#1 was me. And yes, I was joking.
But seriously folks, Pit Bulls should all be killed. Especially Dalmatian Pit Bulls.
Ugh...Pit Bull attacks are getting sooooo played out. Can we move onto some other breeds to change it up?
I highly encourage everyone who I hate (that's you) to get a pit bull and let it run free in your yard with your stupid kids.
Bonus points if you can say "But he never bit anyone before!" in a bewildered voice while holding your shredded child in your arms.

Seriously, I think the only punishment for pitbulls should be the ability to sue for triple damages.
I would sue a Pit Bull owner if I was attacked. Just because they own a Pit Bull. The attack would have nothing to do with it.
or that the public at large can sue on behalf of the public good and that money can be spent on parks, or schools, or renaming children put into foster care.
@6 -- I already did. Now mention of laws anywhere. maybe it's b/c I haven't had my coffee yet
What could I possibly say that hasn't already been said a million times before in other comment threads exactly like this one?
I'm not wearing any pants.
@16
Yep, that would do it.

I love macaroni and cheese. The homemade kind, with a lot of breadcrumbs on top. That's some good eatin'.
Golden Retriever Attacks Child!

I think we should kill all the doggies.
Shit. A pitbull attacked my roomate Friday night.
Owner brought the dog out so we could pet it after and to look and "See! He's nice!"
Fuck that. Had I a shotgun, that dog would be fucking dead.
These burlier-than-thou assjacks, sick of them. And then they breed. Jeezis pete.

i made soup stock from the bones of a toddler earlier this month. the soft little fleshy bits are delicious.
fuck children, not dogs.
Well, since we all know it's not the dog, it's the owner,
why not have the dog released to a friendly farm and have the owner put down?
Pit Bull attacks are Dan's schtick.
You can do Boston Terrier attacks. Boston Terrier's haven't been previously assigned.
