2008 Here’s a Change: Gregoire on the Attack

onDino Rossi is set to officially announce his run for governor tomorrow in Issaquah and later in the day in Spokane.
The big question: What will his theme be? In 2004, you’ll remember, he ran on improving the business climate of Washington state.
Thanks to Gregoire’s success on that front, that issue has been taken away from him. At least that’s how the Democrats want to frame it.
Accused by supporters of not running an aggressive campaign in 2004, the Democrats are already coming out swinging, framing the campaign with this YouTube ad that segues from Rossi’s 2004 campagin stump speech—“Who’s really going to be able to turn around the business climate in this state? Me or my opponent?” into Gov. Gregoire’s stats on improving the business climate in this state.
Her record catapulted Washington from 12th place to 5th place in a recent Forbes ranking of best states to do business in—the biggest jump of any state. Gregoire scored a profile in Forbes annual issue thanks to the impressive ranking.
Here’s the Democrats’ hit:
We’ll hear from Rossi tomorrow.

I've got one question for Dino. "Where do you stand on Prop. 1?"
Gregoire has stuck her neck out in support of Roads & Transit. Why should we give Rossi the luxury of crafting his campaign theme capitalizing on this issue only after the voters have spoken? I'm sure he'll have plenty of 20/20 hindsight, as long as he can get away with it.
I like the heart strings music.
Goofy Grin Dino got a free pass last time on a lot of issues -- simply amazing.
He would answer questions by simply saying - Oh, that, I am not working on that issue.
Managed to side step just about everything and the media never really said much.
No more.
It's amusing how scared the MSM and even the Stranger is of asking tough questions of Rossi.
Or even following the money trail.
Psst, cressona, a lot of us have voted against RTID/ST2, get over it. Next time don't try to shove a GOP-designed attempt to force us to build roads we don't need and ignore roads and bridges we need to rebuild or repair.
Whoa - Sigur Ros?
I just don't get why Valentino Rossi is even supposed to have any idea how to create jobs or reduce red tape or any of that crap. How come nobody ever asks Kenny Roberts, Jr. or John Hopkins or Casey Stoner about jobs?
All the other riders are just expected to ride their bikes and maybe win every once in a while. Rossi is expected to be some kind of all-knowing oracle.
Pretty effective. Now we just need a bimbo eruption and he'll be toast.
the sigur ros makes it.
