really? I don't know MUCH about Bloom or Epstein for that matter, but I know that Bloom bugs the crap out of me.

Bloom may pronounce ex cathedra but that doesn't mean we have to accept the edicts. It just means that he's kinda pompous and we can pick and choose among his pronouncements with our own discernment. And... Academic infighting is par for the course. I think it's funny. It's definitely more entertaining than, say, a 2007 Mariners game.
Some of the greatest (but unrecognized) spiritual teachers are "Ex Cathedra", and like Bloom, they are really into Blake. I present to you, the "Blaketashi Darwishes"
