Attention Law & Order Junkies

posted by on October 22 at 9:30 AM

In the show Help Me I’m Hurt up at Kirkland Arts Center, Seattle artist Samantha Scherer displays a grid of little square watercolor paintings of murder victims from Law & Order.

SchererStories3.JPG

The paintings are numbered according to episode and order of death within episodes, but there’s no further information about these characters, and the tender little paintings have made me curious. (I don’t watch the show.)

If you can identify any of the characters, tell me: What happened? How did they die? Why were they killed?

All fifty-three portraits (!) are on Scherer’s web site here.

I watch Law & Order all the time, but there are so many dead bodies I can't really identify these! I guess I'm not as good of a fan as I thought I was!

None look as dead as Fred Thompson's political career.

I'm with Kristin at #1: I've watched enough L&O that I can recite along with key episodes, and yet I can't identify one of them corpses.

I too watch a lot of L&O and the only one that triggered anything was #3. My first instinct said this was one of the boys involved in the bike theft ring run by the evil sound engineer (?)/neighborhood "big brother" guy. But I wouldn't bet my life on it or anything.
