Sounds like you're tired of hearing about it to me. Am I wrong? Am I reading too much into "What's new"? Because I've gotten this impression (that you don't give a shit) before.
And no, I'm not wasting my day looking through backlogs of Slog posts for the precious evidence I'm not a moron. You can believe what you want to believe. I could be in MENSA with my brother, but I'm not interested in hanging out with the people who wear their IQs like badges.

Great, let's take away birth control then force people to have children then make sure those kids have poor to no health care, get rid of school lunches, let public school flounder, make college out of reach for most low income to lower middle class families to afford, and then make sure that guns are readily available (the US bought more than half of all guns manufactured last year) and let's stack the laws and justice system so that it it applied more heavily to the poorer classes and structure finacial systems from revolving credit to pay day loans and create a spiral of poverty drwoning everyone from the upper middle class on down... eventually we'll have our own permanent powerless underclass that we can force to do the work they had been able to get away from paving the way for the illegal immigration boom and before you know it. we'll be able to deport the brown people from somewhere else because we'll have our own serfs- I love this fucking country!!

Meanwhile people keep telling me I have to respect the beliefs of others- even if I fully believe that thier beliefs are the most vile inhumane thing in every way- If I believed in an absolute like evil I would point to these as examples of what it might look like.

I don't want to have to respect the religious wack-a-doo any more than I want to respect the raving lunatic on the street corner- I respect that they are people in need of medication and couseling.

I don't want to respect the difference of opinion of people that want to do things like in my above post (@19) and more than I want to respect the difference of opinion of people like the fictional hannibal lechter- one eats people literally the other figuratively- they both have about the same respect for other people ...

I am forced to walk a balancing line of pride that the United States allows for difference of opinion to be expressed (for a little while longer- until W's coup anyways) with being disgusted that there can be dog eat dog people that hold opinions like this out there...

Seth- True that. I mean, the president's political base DOES oppose everything that is decent and humane, except for the small range of acceptable decent and humane things displayed on shows like "Leave it to Beaver" and "the Andy Griffith Show."
