Enjoy that press conference while you can, baby.
Republicans=family values
family values=children
children=babies
baby=Vitter+Hooker
Ta da! Vitter is representing Republican morals and values!
Why do they still use tout lie detector tests even thought they know they are total bullshit? What if the article claimed a tarot card reader had said she was telling the truth? You'd say "oh, yeah, I know tarot cards are bullshit, but still, that counts for something right?"
Kind of silly of me to ask this question of people who say, "These internet polls are way unscientific...But they do provide a sense of the Slogosphere."
See "unscientific" does not mean the margin of error is really large. If that's all it meant, then yes, they kind of could provide a sense of where things stand.
But that's not the problem with self-selected polls, or lie detectors. The problem with them is that they are total bullshit. They don't even have a margin of error. They are worse than total ignorance.
Anyway, at least it's happening to a guy that deserves it. Well, I heard he deserves it, and probably what I heard is true, right?
again, why do I care who the guy is fucking or not fucking or what his kinks are
why?
Dan - are you a bit obsessed?
Because the Right's expectations of people are so inhuman that it is nearly impossible to practice what they preach. It's not the hooker-banging or the foot-tapping, it's the hypocrisy. For the millionth time.
Who cares after 8 years? Isn't there a statute of limitations on sleaze? Or is Vitter still partying like it's 1999? BTW, no one's bugging Craig about B-room BJ's from 2004.
Yeah, I'm with #6. This isn't really news. I may be a jackal, but the kills still need to be fresh.
I don't give a fuck what kinda of piece of shit hypocrite Republican turd the dude is. Hookers need to keep their fucking mouths shut.
A politico pays for hummers and this is newsworthy why?
@#8 Since you want a fresh rupublican sex scandel I offer you this....
OK, for you kids out there who don't get it, here is the Dictionary definition of hypocrisy: "the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform."
It's not that he had sex with a hooker that is the problem. It's that he's been telling everyone else how immoral we are if we have sex with a hooker and then goes and does it himself. Got it?
@10
Yeah, we got it. Now let's get this 'press conference' over with. The sooner we do, the sooner the truth will be released, and the sooner Ms. Whoever can get back on the streets with her Pampers Depends.
#10, a Jesus person would just quote the Bible at you: All Have Sinned and Fall Short of the Glory of God, Romans 3:23. If he's repented and changed his ways, he's right with The Big Guy.
Who gives a fuck if he's right with the big guy? The big guy doesn't vote!
I'll tell you why it's news: At this point the diapers are JUST RUMORS. As soon as this girl gets the story out we'll know better whether it's true. If it is true, it's the first case of a public official being a known "adult baby," and that shit's fucking hilarious. I love Larry Flynt for this campaign, and hope he doesn't get smacked down too hard for it. Personally, I don't care if he also finds some Democrat double talkers and bust them too. Though I'd prefer that to happen after the next election.
What we really need are Congressmen who bang prostitutes, wear diapers, get tied to a St. Andrew's cross and have electricity run through their cocks by a professional--whatever makes them happy, really--and then deal with it like adults in public.
"Yeah, I'm into some freaky shit. I don't want to say too much about it, because that's private. But I don't see a problem with getting my jollies how I like."
That works, Greg, so long as the politician in question is content to let other people get their jollies how they like.
@9: and here i thought dems were in favor of electric vehicles...
@1 totally.
@8 yes, hookers need to keep their mouths shut. i'm guessing the vast majority of their clientele is lying about something they wouldn't want exposed.
@10 hypocracy isn't that, it's when you talk about a standard and when you judge others or force that standard on others that you are not yourself living by. vitter, of course, is still a hypocrite. but someone who says they are on a healthy diet, and sneaks a candy bar is not necessarily one.
@12 yeah, i think he's already won over his own people with that. i don't think this revelation will change anything now.
@15 it'd be great.
@16 Thanks, Dan, for making that point. Where do we find those kind of politicians, anyway?
