Thank god this case got a rational judge.

I smoke pot for pain and have been encouraged by friends to get it legally (I live in Hawaii) but this is the exact reason why I prefer not to. What if the judge had ruled differently? All these patient's medical records would be examined by the DEA? Fuck that.

Glad to see that someone in the federal justice apparatus has a shred of sense. This is a really important ruling. Let's hope it holds.

Not so glad to see taxpayer resources going to harassing sick people. Reason # 1,000,000 to elect a dem in '08--to end this kind of shit. Clinton already said outright she'd stop the raids, and Obama indicated as much. Keep posting about this stuff, Dominic--it's important.

w00t!! Definately a ray of light. It's really nice to see the DEA get knocked down a bit, especially coming on the heels of the harassment letters they sent to landlords in CA not too long ago...
